This has always been my Prince secret. I won't go so far to say I Hate Raspberry Beret but it is one of my least favorite songs. You have given me the courage to admit it out loud.

Only one? I'd have to say "Ain't About 2 Stop". There's a few songs from Phase One that run it close but that's the worst one, not only on that album, but it's the worst Prince song I've ever heard. It doesn't even sound like a Prince song. If I heard it on the radio and didn't know who it was, I'd just assume it was just another throwaway "dance" song by some DJ who's never played a musical instrument in his life. And I use the word "dance" loosely because I don't know how anyone can dance to that EDM crap unless they're off their face on ecstasy. There are a few songs from Phase One in a similar vein but the presence of Rita Ora sets this one apart. It's not just Phase One though, Beginning Endlessly is another song I don't think I'll ever listen to again. That horrible synth sound at the start and the over the top autotune is a world away from the man who gave us 1999, Let's Work and, for a more recent example, Revelation. Arrogance, from Love Symbol, is also really really bad. I know all the above sounds really negative but I happen to love about 95% of his output. Its just times where Prince tried to follow trends that I don't like. He was the best at what he did. But when it came to trying to emulate what "the kids" are listening to, for the most part he failed miserabley. Having said that, I do think his worst songs are better than the majority if whatever is currently in the charts.

Hate is a strong word, at a push maybe:

Cyber Single

3 Chains of Gold as well although it is at least funny (I know others love it, so be it).

I don't mind Purple & Gold, I feel it worked for what it was, I won't be playing it again any time soon though.
