Baby, I'm a Star - and I keep thinking his career went by in the blink of an eye. But I love those videos from the 80s. |

Nothing Compares 2 U : I had to take my 5 yr old dog to the emergency vet 30 mins away yesterday after I shampooed carpets yesterday morning. She got violently sick and after I got her to the vet and vet got her on the way to being a good healthy dog again, I dropped her off at the house to run to the pharmacy to get her meds. I found myself looking at the clock and it had been 7 hours since she had came down sick and while I'm driving to pharmacy 20 mins away in the other side of town and knowng she needed the meds soon I found myself looking at the clock on the car and suddenly when I was like hmm it's been 7 hours of this and suddenly Prince's song started playing in my ears! I normally get meds for me and pups at Walmart in my town but they were closed for the holiday so I had to go to next town over to the 24 hour walgreens. That song was echoing in my head while I was standing in middle of Walgreens wishing and pacing tha they would hurry so I could just get home and be with my furbaby and give her the meds I knew she need and oddly I found that song so comforting. She is doing good this morning and I gave her the 2nd dose of meds before I left for work. This day can't go fast enough and I'm still singing that in my head. [Edited 9/6/16 8:20am] |

Hello justAmeda Sorry to hear what happened to your dog yesterday. I hope she will make a rapid recovery so that you can both enjoy life again. Coincidentally I had to take one of my cat to the vet's yesterday evening, as she came home limping (it apparently started with a toe injury that then got infected). She is currently on antibiotics and painkillers and recovering rapidly. She had her second dose this morning (with tunafish - which she normally never gets) and already on the mend. And I too had Nothing Compares to U in my head at one point, but it was mostly Sometimes It Snows In April and Empty Room today. I was missing Prince a lot and these two songs (as well as Nothing Compares to You) tend to return during such moments because they are some of his saddest. Life Matters |
