I can't go for that (no can do) Heard this Hall and Oates classic on the radio yesterday and an image came to my mind of Prince performing this song and getting his groove on vocally as well as a guitar solo and keyboard riffs. Next time you hear this song, I think you could imagine it too, sadly. I heard John Oates recently say that Prince used to come watch them all the time in small venues before they got big, so I'm sure there was some admiration or influence there.

I really, really wish Prince could have done a Live at Darryl's House. Could have been EPIC.

And that song is about their record company, actually. Daryl told the story on Live At Daryl's House, about the record industry. They were balking against how managers, agents, and A&R guys try to tell artists what to do, and how to act. It was a song about being true to one's self. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Yes, that would have been amazing. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Live at Darryl's house would have been epic. What songs would they do? So many great artist have been on there, I'm so glad it comes on VH1 classic. They most definitely would have done that song.
I really love Hall and Oats. Beautiful, Loved and Blessed
Thank You Prince | |

2) Sara Smile (with Prince soloing on guitar) 3) Raspberry Beret 4) I Can't Go For That (No Can Do) 5) Out Of Touch (jam session, blended with the extended portions of "Mountains", including someone yelling "Hey you, getting out on this dance...ON YO KNEES" - "Dance On Your Knees" being the intro to "Out Of Touch" on the album).

I can imagine that, yes! Love Hall and Oates, how cool that Prince used to watch them back in the day. We all want the stuff that's found in our wildest dreams. . .
