In later years he wasn't quite as much of an Olympian, but by then the damage had likely already been pretty bad. I cringe thinking about the jarring impact from landing from those heighs. | |

i read that when james tried to do a split in later years, he had to lay in be the next day. No one wants to get old but you gotta accept some things. | |

what they are trying to say is pretty simple, that he had chronic pain from the splits and he ended up hooked on opioids. We don't know that for a fact but lots of people are saying it. MJ started on pain pills after the pepsi accident. of course it wasn't the commercial itself that killed him , it was the burns that led to his taking pain pills which in turn progressed throughout the remainder of his life. He wasn't a heavy user at the end it seems but he still was abusing drugs. Funny thing is, was a time when both men had a strict antidrug image. | |

Thank you. Morris had hip replacement surgery and I do not remember him doing splits. There are dancers a plenty that do splits every day, as well as professional cheerleaders.
Prince died due to pain medication overdose that was not managed properly. Should he have slowed down long ago....definitely, but he was a control freak and a perfectionist and when he took the stage he wanted to give his fans everything that he had in him to give.
