Can I ask a question to anyone who has this magazine: (question below)
Sometimes magazines will features some of their previous covers. It's a bit pricey in comparison to other tribute magazines - and I pretty much have all the ones I could want EXCEPT this one so wanting to justify the price and I was just wondering/hoping... if Billboard also does this and by chance if there is a page with this cover photo inside:
Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.

ForeverPaisley, to answer your question about the Billboard issue - no, it does not have the "American Idol" cover reprinted inside the issue.

An article in today's mpls paper about fans still visiting PP. I hope he felt the love when he was still on earth. Sometimes I'm afraid he didn't. For some reason today is a hard day. I tear up seeing his name in print or just thinking about him being gone feels so sharp again. Weird. Maybe tomorrow I'll lighten up. I had a hard day yesterday, super sudden sobfest when the audio recording of his last show somehow ended up in the YT music video playlist I was in. Absolutely devastating. I also find it hard when I think he may not have known how loved he was. People take things for granted and I feel this is true for Prince (and people in general). We can only hope he did know what he meant to us. Each day will get better - in time. Hang in there. Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.

Thank you for that reply! If you have other tribute magazines - do you deem the billboard one a must have? Or is it full of pretty much the same things? Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.

Yeah, it's nice to see people still coming to pay their respects. I appreciate that the one group came the whole way from California, driving 2 days, to get there. Peace.

This makes me feel so good. That Paisley Park is still a pilgrimage destination and that people are still leaving tributes there. They have GOT to turn Paisley Park into a living memorial for fans...as a working music venue and museum. This MUST BECOME A REALiTY!!! Can't get hold of the Rolling Stone Commemorative Issue in the UK. Anyone in the U.S wanting to trade a copy for a UK magazine like the Classic Pop?

Is The Source Magazine with the Prince cover worth picking up? Are there many pages devoted to him?

it will be available through http://www.newsstand.co.u...ption.aspx
Here in Holland it has just hit the newsstands, at 13.99 euro. So I imagine it will be on general release in the UK as well soon.

[Edited 7/6/16 10:12am] Thanks but I've already ordered it with news stand and the date keeps getting put back, and yesterday they didn't have a clue when they'd have it so I'm not holding much hope with them. But if you say it's in shops in Holland then maybe it's not too far away... Thanks for the info

Please Org Note me if still interested, I will check when at the mall tomorrow. There are quite a few of the commemorative magazines here as I think we got some late. Dance where y'are, just groove y'all.

Yes, I have all the other tribute magazines. I've only had time to skim through the Billboard though but I liked what I saw; there appears to be interesting articles. The nice thing is it has full page tribute ads by Warner Bros., MSG, etc.

Yes, and it's a bit of a let down, imo. There's only several pages devoted to him. Not one to put on the top of your list

. Most magazines in this thread don't offer a single bit of new information. Uncut on the other hand have several interesting interviews. © Bart Van Hemelen

To be fair, i've yet to bring myself to actually read any of them. I bought, briefly flicked thru that mag (as with all of them) and then filed away for a cosy winter afternoon's read, by which time i hope i'll be OK(ish) with the fact he ain't here amongst us no more.

I don't recollect the interviews being exclusive.
I passed on it. Still better than the pathetic 10 pages that Mojo did as a tribute. As a contrast, Mojo this month has a 20 page tribute to The Smiths - and they're all still alive.

I liked the Bass Player article, lots of ancedotes from pretty much every bass player that he was involved with except Larry Graham. I wonder why he decided not to participate.
