Beautiful and sad. Seeing her cry got me started again...I was never a huge fan of hers even as i acknowledge her talent but shes won me over these past couple days

Prince and Sheila were engaged in 1988.I think it was over in early 1989 when she left the Prince camp.

Bad idea watching this at work. I had to excuse myself, that was beautiful. I lost it as soon as I saw his face. Don't think this is something I can listen to often.

When Sheila E. did her Unsung a few years ago, she stated that part of her health issues came from performing in heels. Her body was all out of alignment and such. I don't know if its a statement or what but that last few times I saw her performing on tv she had on heels.

Oh good Lord. I had no idea that she held his remains. I can't even imagine. Holding the ashes of your best friend; someone you love with your whole heart; someone who "used to be." Someone who was so full of life. I would've been on the ground sobbing uncontrollably.

Thanks Sheila for putting it all out there. That took courage to be so vulnrable. I feel terrible for her..I think she has always been completley in love with him. It just hurts to watch her grieve.

She said in her book that she lived with him for a while.

Now about the song, I love it! I can't stop listening to it. First that awesome tribute and now this song, she definitely loves Prince!

Wow very moving. I've always loved Sheila and she really is a true talent and one of the very best women ever in Prince's life. She proved that last night and this is a very beautiful new single

I cried. Maybe it's just because I'm missing P as well, but there is something about the melody that's deeply princey too. It's simple, yet very evocative.

How long ago was she his fiancé though? I see she's using that to promote the song? It's a shame they never hooked up. I do wonder if she really took him seriously with he proposed to her? Anyone else know the full details?

It's real. She got it not too long after Mayte got hers, about a month ago.


Wasn't Prince anti-tattoo because of a bible passage (leviticus 19:28)? I swear I read that somewhere.
