http://www.startribune.co...382108581/

could take a while

.

The Carver County judge overseeing Prince’s $100 million-plus estate will hold a hearing Tuesday afternoon at the request of the special administrator marshaling his assets to determine whether music-industry specialists should be hired to maximize its value for the heirs — whoever they may be.

. . .

An attorney for Carlin Q. Williams — who claims to be Prince’s son — filed an objection to the plan, arguing that it’s premature to be making those decisions until Prince’s rightful heirs can be established.

DNA testing should be automatic. This kind of stuff is getting ridiculous in this day and age.

Oh no. This is going to be in the courts forever. Now, just who would these so called music industry "experts" be? Warner? other artists?? How much would they be paid?

They should just do this DNA test straight away. What's the hold up?

Sounds like Prince Dracula really believes he's an heir.

I'll just die if it's true.
Surprise, surprise.
Another treat. Another trick.

"Maximize its value." Get ready for Prince music in commercials.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Have you seen prince dracula's mama? Now, do you really thing Prince was desperate enough to do his mama? Look up her picture. She is scary looking! No, I can't believe that is his son. I read the guy is 6 feet tall. Looks NOTHING like Prince. At all.

I WISH YOU LOVE, I WISH YOU HEAVEN SWEET PRINCE...

Does anyone really believe that an 18-year-old Prince was drinking wine in a bar in Kansas City?
He looked eight years old!

My opinion:

This woman's story has been passed along to her son for so long that they both believe it.

The DNA is required, must be submitted quite soon due to the court's recent ruling and it's obvious there will be no match. IMO, of course.

The date is sometime in August. It's logical that they are waiting until the new arena is completed and open...which will happen in August. Perhaps the same day that Prince was negotiating that concert appearance for.

She could have been fine back in the day though!
I don't believe it either but I also didn't believe Prince was ever going to die.

--- This morning Billy Sparks was on Tom Joyner and he said an attorney well versed in the entertain industry will be stepping in to help. This may be what he was talking about.

The estate shouldn't have to pay. That "heir finders" site that's promoting this guy should pony up. They should already have done that by now.

I totally agree. Which is why I can't understand why they would take it this far. What does she/he think they will gain? They must know that once the DNA comes back negative, that they have no claim. So I am wondering what is the point? Do they think they will get some type of settlement instead? Why do people do this sort of thing? It's confounding to me. eek

I totally agree. I have been saying that since the first time I saw her pic. And if you read her so-called blog, it reads like fan fiction. There are a lot of glaring impossibilities in her timeline and the telling of how she supposedly met him. Furthermore, Prince had a type. He only dated women as pretty as him biggrin

He totally had a type and that woman whose picture I've seen ain't it, no disrepect. Plus, her blog explanation how she supposedly met him reads like a poorly written retelling of "Darling Nikki."

I don't believe for one minute that he's Prince son. Why wait until now to come forth? If he was your father, you should have made yourself known years ago. Has he even explained why he's just now saying something?

If there was much more harsh penalties for false heir claims then this may not be an issue. Is there even any penalities for doing this? hmmm

Well, to be clear, I use the term blog loosely. It is mostly just a posting with a bunch of ramblings. But she wrote it back in 2010, so not sure what was going on then. Regardless, there is no way there is any truth to her story. None of this is to say that it's not possible that Prince could have a child that he didn't know about, but that clown in Colorado ain't it. I also find it interesting that it is only men claiming to be his heir so far. I wonder if there are any females out there claiming to be heirs.

I'm sure the actual testing may take some time, but a swipe of the cheek, a draw of a little blood is where it begins. The rest of the horse and pony show really doesn't seem necessary in this age. Just leave it at "nobody believes your story until you get tested." and call it a day.
