HPD: Every male veternarian ever to walk the planet, I tell you. lol

I keep saying I couldn't work for Prince because I wouldn't tolerate that crap, no matter how cute he is. The boy would feel the NOOOPE and I'd feel the firing. lol

LIke that time he threw the mike on Arsenio Hall. I automatically was like, "NOOOOPE, have several seats, I am going to sma -- oh. He's on tv, I can't smack him."

That would not go so well.

I agree. It is actually very common with people who have been neglected or abused as children to not know how to relate to people very well and have healthy communication with others.

Like when he kicked Kim Kardashian off the stage. lol

I've followed him forever and personally always thought he showed signs of being a Narcissist or having Histrionic Personality disorder. Anyone agree???

.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissistic_personality_disorder

What the fuck is Histrionic Personality Disorder? lol Pretty soon there won't be any categories left. talk to the hand

.

.

he's dead and so, cannot contradict us. sigh he was so mysterious in life and now in death the mystery tenfolds. so i figure wtf? here's *my* theory. nod

Prince Had Secret Twinitis.

.

Prince Rogers1 Nelson and Prince Rogers2 Nelson were actually born twins, two separate individuals, like ashley and kate olsen, or wendy and susannah.

.

and very very early on in life (since P-Roger1 and P-Roger2 (was/is) both highly intelligent), they learned to do half the schoolwork, housework and etc. by pretending they were the same person, every other day one of them would be home playing music while the other was at school, and so on.

.

and since there were two of them, at times *Prince* might have seemed more distant than at other times, or perhaps more generally inclinced to shake hands as opposed to when *he* was the *other* twin, who was not so inclined to enjoy physical or eye contact or sign autographs.

.

perhaps Roger1 hated the scent of lavender while Roger2 loved it, and just maybe Roger2 drove fast while Roger1 was more of a spinsterly figure on the road. who knows for sure?

.

but one absolutely MUST admit that there were many, many references throughout prince's work about his 'gemini/twins' sides. i know you know what i mean? so is that simply coincidental or just one more completely unrelated detail? you be the judge!

.

anyway, when you add these two, very different people together playing the role of one single dude, well anyone watching these two very different men might see somewhat puzzling, inconsistent behavior patterns which really would explain quite a lot about prince's so-called personality "quirks". just my 2c* nod

.

i wonder which twin survived? hmmm

.

.

.* DISCLAIMER: i am not now, nor have i ever claimed to be, proficient, licensed and/or reliably trained in the psychiatric arts and sciences. i am speaking only from the platform of my personal speculations, and am therefore technically not qualified to comment on anything pertaining to prince's mental health or behavioral patterns, in any way, shape or form. i further claim general org immunity from statements made herein. thank you, amen.

[Edited 6/6/16 12:52pm]

Would the surviving twin please report to my doorstep immediately! Thank you for that. The best explanation so far... ROFL

And my behind would have been fired too, no doubt. He would have walked out on me only once in the middle of a conversation and that would have been the end of that fairytale. LOL

There's a YouTube video of a guy that worked a low-level position at Paisley Park. He tells this story of how he was about to pass Prince in the hallway, and instead of doing something normal like saying "Hi", Prince eyes darted about and he immediately SPRINTED down the stairs to get away from him. So yeah, I'd say he was socially awkward! LOL

No-one else could understand you, you're too complex. They say nothing's perfect, but they don't know you...

He was leaving PP In a couple of hours and Prince was listening to some tracks and asked the guy what speed he recorded them at. The guy answered and Princ Said thanks for ruining my Songs get out of here....so Prince loved everything the guy was doing but had to pick a fight instead Of saying goodbye. I can't help but imagine that Prince was very quirky when it came to dealing with people.
He was a Gemini. They do that kind of stuff LOL. I watched a YouTube of Shameless Maya (I believe that was her name) who did the photography for Art Official Age. She said they met a few times and did an entire photo shoot in his house. Then, one day, he randomly told her to delete all of the photos that she took. She was like "Umm. No" and instantly started editing them to send him a finished product. Then he was like, "I love them." and sent her the biggest check that she said that she had ever seen. LOL.

Nonsense. Excuses for being a tyrannical bully.

Most everyone who worked with Prince has said as an inredible experience and they mostly have great feelings about it. His past band members, his web designer, Steve Park, his tour photographer, his chefs, etc.

.

It sounds like this guy did something that P didn't like when he recorded one of his songs. That is like molesting one of Prince's children and of course he's going to get super angry and perhaps lose his temper just a bit. Music was his life.

I think Prince, like the honey badger, just didn't give a shit. He could be perfectly gentlemanly when he felt like it, he just didn't always feel like it. I have a rough childhood behind me too, and somehow manage -- usually, anyway lol -- not to beat people up. Until I get tired of manners, and then forget about it, sorry not sorry, I don't really care about people's fee.

A lot of that is not wanting people trying to figure you out, self-preservation and keeping people at arms' length. Some of it was just a flat out Napoleon complex.

Really?

The NPG hated working with him in the 90's. His engineer from the GB days says Prince treated people like shit on his shoe, like his was royalty and above them.

Prince ws rude to Stevie Ray Vaughan at PP. No excuse for no manners and arrogance. That is not very spiritual now is it?

Nastiness and the level of impoliteness Prince shows is a major sign of insecurity, just as Tommy B. said. If you are truly happy with yourself, you want to bring those around you up, not degrade them, not rip them off.

Rosie Gaines is still waiting on her money for vocals she did on Emancipation and 1999 new master.

He was a musician, a vocalist. He wasn't a politician somewhere running for office. It wasn't his job to be politically correct, or be a man of the people.

Ah, yeah he was that, and more. It's due to events from his childhood. Most, if not all, of our "issues" in adulthood can be blamed on baggage brought from childhood. I'm no professional, but over the years I have done extensive research and reading, been to counseling, and visited a shaman in an effort to fix myself and be normal. So I do have some personal experience with psychological issues and Prince seemed to have several. I'm glad I was never on the receiving end of his bad side. On the other hand his eyes and his smile betrayed his soft, vulnerable side. I do hope he was able to recognize and reconcile the things he perhaps did to others that were less than kind. I have the feeling he wasn't one to say "I'm sorry" tho since that would mean admitting he was actually wrong about something. And that actually makes me wonder at times if he ended up in a good place.
It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

Keenly, do you have anything positive to say about Prince? Or do you always wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

And it's just boring if all you do is shoot your mouth off and not say whether you worked for Prince or not.

Yes! He had issues for sure. The way he collected woman and gave them the boot is pretty awful. The same with musicians. High standards are one thing. He sounded like he had a lot of love in his heart & a lot of wounds.

Mody of us have some of each, and we try to be decent to people. He cordoned off his world and created his own rules.

I think he wrote of having regrets, read the lyrics to the song, "The Breakdown."

What he deserves credit for on an interpersonal level is evolving and doing things better in each phase of his life. Gotta love that.

Prince had been umm, let's say, different for many years and the examples were there. From him holding up his fingers as an answer to Dick Clark, to having other people speak for him, to not giving interviews at different points in his career. These things were not secrets. Nobody put a gun to their heads to deal with, or work with that man. The choice was theirs. Musical genius is what he was. The rest was secondary.

He's in the Big White Mansion. RIP Prince

Depends which Prince you're talking about.

For some reason, some fans tend to think of Prince as this personality with very stable traits and attitudes. Prince evolved like hopefully we all do. Some things stay the same. So he was a narcissist -- can you honestly say you wouldn't be in his shoes with his talent? If anyone had a reason to be too into themselves, that would be him.

Sometimes the real point of a request is a test. But yeah, some people just don't know how to part ways without picking a fight. Especially if they have abandonment issues. Why would things end, unless there was some sort of drama?

Abandonment issues, geez he was thrown out of his fathers house at 13 and sat crying on the pay phone cause he wasn't allowed to go home. He was a BABY and abandoned. That probably killed a part of his sensitivity chip. And that show on Reelz said his stepfather locked him in his room for 6 weeks one summer, only allowed him out to eat and shower. His family really fu.... with his head

Yep

It does not make him bad to me either; makes the man human. He had an extraordinary gift and he had to know he was special and what was in him was special. I am glad he shared it with the world.
