I think this is a part of it. Even though he was still trying to control things, I think he was a lot more 'carefree' you see a lot of pictures of him smiling in 1985/86

the one picture we have of him & Susannah out in public he is grinning widely too

Makes me wonder if he ever regretted doing this to women, dating, sleeping with AND juggling multiple girls..all the while telling each one that they were special..they were the ONLY one they were the most beautiful girl in the world...hmmm wonder if he regreetted it later in life, not having a special someone, especially in the end?

Prince was supposedly "engaged" to Susannah Melvoin,but I honestly don't think he was serious about settling down with any woman back then He was just playing with their emotions,like a typical player would,lol

I loved that era too! So fun! The SOTT concert film was probably the best I have ever seen. I loved how he told a story through music/dance. I am going to miss Prince's magical world...

OMG!!! Prince was scandalous (no pun intended). How can you take your side piece to your other side piece's birthday party? What gets me is that Devin obviously still don't know that she was played and tossed to the side in a short 6 months.

i recall that jill described the situation in the early 80's as such:

it was like he had us all on a wheel and then he would just spin it. everybody knew he was with everyone else but he liked that kind of thing.

in the 'let's go crazy book', jill says that going into the filming of PR, P was dating, in various degrees of closeness, jill,susan and then susannah right after the benefit concert(wendy's 1st show).Sheila said they didn't start fucking until the PR tour. By then,Susan M was no longer messing with P. Jill had slowed down,too. That's when SM became #1, Sheila #2 and then this Devin chick for a minute. that's just what people have admitted to, imagine all the shit we don't know.
