My apologies if this belongs in an existing thread. I tried to do my due diligence and saw very few references in current threads. We've all read and heard about their supposed rivalry (the ping pong match, the proposed Bad duet, bass in MJ's face), etc. but considering the circumstances, I feel Prince empathized with MJ after his death because of his similar situation. I watched a few live videos recently of Prince shows covering MJ songs. Do you think Prince saw himself potentially following in MJ's situation?
