I want to share my gratitude to the board, which I have only recently joined. First, it has been great to find a community who gets the genuis of Prince, not just in theory (almost everyone has always said "he's a musical genuis"), but acutually loves what he brought to us personally through his music. It got lonely out there as I purchased all of his stuff through 3021 but with no one to share the many joys and the occasional disappointments with. I admit that I stopped buy his stuff after then, in part due to life circumstances and in part just confused about which albums to get given their mixed to negative reception and their strange release pattern. Perhaps I was also kind of pissed about how difficutl he could make it on his fans in the later years. Now, I realize through his death that all my resistance in recent years was just misplaced: Prince was going to do things his way and to hell with convention, which is actually one of things I admire about him. Why should he cater to anyone, including a fan's particular preferences! Any way, I have been heartned to find so many loyal fans here that have actually got all of his stuff or nearly so and have had my eyes wide open to descriptions of his post 3021 material. I plan to eventually get everything, but I noticed that people generlly felt so positive about AOA. So, I just got it and had the thrill I experienced through the decades buy not for the past few years: The rush of hearing new to me great prince songs and a wonderful Prince album. Thanks again.

my original resistance to 3121 is showing. Obviously, it's not 3021. By the way, I am now getting into that one more than before too.

Glad you went out and got AOA, it's a great album. Make sure you get LotusFlower. I think it contains his strongest work post 3121 (just my opinion).
