Favorite YouTube videos...

I was just wondering if it would be ok to start a thread where people can share their favorite YouTube videos....there have been so many amazing finds recently on YT...videos, concerts, interviews, etc...that I have never seen b4 (or thought I would never see again)!!!!

If it's ok to put links too, I would be more than happy too...

One of my favorite finds thus far has been "Prince North Sea Jazz #2 Totterdam, Holland" (this is an amazing concert!! beautfiully shot (so intimate and up close!!)... he sounds SO incredible!!! I never knew this one was out there.

Also, it was great to see a better copy of the Purple Rain Syracuse show... I wore out my VHS copy years ago...

There r so many.... I just found Gansta Glam which I had never seen.....

I would love to know what others have found so I don't miss anything...not sure how long any of it is staying up....

----

Thanks...and again...can't say enough how much the org has meant to me...especially since his passing... it helps me feel connected with others who feel how I am feeling...otherwise...I'm kind of isolated here...like was posted in another org thread...people either get Prince or they don't....take care

I tried this and the thread got deleted and same with others. It's not the mods fault, but just legal crap. Maybe if we just post the names and not links, then it wouldn't get deleted..worth a shot.

Thanks for responding!! That's what I was thinking too... I have seen threads with links and seen threads with just comments.... so I hope this would be ok....

Plus... I just found the making of Mountains!! (38 minutes +)...I had heard of this but have never seen it!!! I have just spending my time at night watching videos until I realize how late it is!!! I really wish these would stay up so others could see them too (not only fans, but also those who could easily become fans with access to such amazing clips!!)

P playing Summertime sound check. Nice to see and hear him getting the band together. He's so relaxed.

Yes! I aggreee, he was just so cool in that video, I wish the camera man had played it cool though so Prince would have let him film longer. I think he got annooyed with all the circling around.

I also love the 4 those of u on valium video (3/21/87 SOTT tour rehersal video.) @36.25 is it good to ya.....yeah yeah!

It would be be nice to have all the discoveries in one place. There was one thread for favorite concerts, one for favorite performance of Head, I started one for Madhouse. Every day a new gem I have not seen in many years seems to appear on YT. I had not seen that Solid Gold performance for many many years.

in my opinion prince wishes should be respected ( no picture, bootlegs, videos ... when he was alive alongside the rules on this forum . If there is not a will then all videos, links music should be discussed openly with links ( prince always stated free music for fans). Plus that will keep his legacy going otherwise it will fade out.

That is one of my all time favorites. Interactive, Race, Days of Wild...wow just an incredible period. I consider 1993-1995 to be the Second Purple Renassance after 1980-1988.

I wish the full Canal+ rehearsal would surface. I had this on VHS about 20 years ago. It was from around '94 and was at some French TV show. But about an hour of the band rehearsing and I remember Prince kind of showing off for Mayte. I think this is before they were a couple and was cool to see him impress her (which I'm sure he did all the time, of course).

I love this one! I wish someone has the entire birthday show in Detroit 1986. The one I see on you tube is so heavily edited. So many songs are missing. Also, I would love to the a better copy of the Yokahoma show I think it was in September 86. It was the last Prince and the Revolution show.

Thanks for the heads up there. Someone just posted a much better quality copy of:

Prince & The Revolution/The Time - 1999 Tour (The Summit, Houston, TX 1982).

I love the piano portion of this show..starts with such a funky groove.

Some of my fave new finds are:

The 1999 Septimo TV show (especially "Motherless Child")

The 2005 NCAAP Image Awards (with Sheila E, The Time etc)

The Brits 2006

Also was really happy to see the 1991 Arsenio Hall Show again.

I really enjoyed the First Avenue "Parade" warmup show. He was so animated, funny and happy during that "rehearsal". He made fun of the band members, Morris Day and even joked on himself. He really put a hurting on Paul Peterson..I hope he wasn't there. Very tight and funky performance.
