Prince's Views on Paisley Studio A An unpublished Rolling Stone interview from 2014 has been published that is extremely revealing. To me, the quote below suggests he wasn't entirely happy with the sound of Studio A. I do think that some of his most recent recordings have a dryer and clearer sound, so I'm wondering if he changed the room or went elsewhere to record vocals. If anyone has thoughts or insights, please let me know.

Also specifically, I think Prince was referring to the mixing board which an engineer recently said was new and didn't have the same sound with the way Prince was used to quickly working in his home studio ways on an older board he was used to. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid
