Well I got a message from my sister in Jackson, MS where the Jackson Arts Council is created an fundraising event called th Storyteller's Ball in honor of Prince.

Why are these people doing this? They weren't there to help the Love4OneAnother event at Community Stewpot in Jackson in 1997. They surely didnt acknowledge him when he was alive. Why now? Why using his name to promote a fundraiser for Arts Council who didnt give a dayum about ALL (I mean ALL) struggling artists in Jackson except for priviledge few before his death? Somehow I feel this just a scam in using Prince's name to raise money that dont benefit anyone.

Not sure. Figured people in MS were too busy with the KKK and Tronald Dump to give two shits about Prince.

But seriously, why not ask them? Asking a bunch of people that don't know the answer is kind of like speculating about how depressed he was about Vanity. Who the fuck knows other than those directly involved. Surely that means no one on this forum knows the answer to either question.

As an artist who grew up in that oppressive mfing place, I know the mindset and tactics. Just another local organization who need some funds and by using Prince's name they think they can raise more! Prince fandom has decrease ALOT in Jackson! I hope true fans in Jackson see that this is another ploy to use his name to get money from their pockets for the City, not for Prince or his causes!
