I don't like debating digital vs analog, but it's interesting that quite a number of people have pointed out the sound of Emancipation.

As you probably know, I think around this time Prince ditched tapes and switched to ProTools (correct me if I'm wrong). Do you think the "lifeless" sound has anything to do with that?

I notice "The Love we make" is on nearly every list, easy to see why, it is a perfect Prince song and I even think Prince himself loved it and knew it was a great song.

He even played it on his last tour, he played most of it at the 2nd Auckland show on February 24th and he interrupted it, to go into Adore, I nearly died....
