I'm pretty sure I saw the show on Sunday, November 6, 1988. There was a show on Monday, but I had to be back to work in San Diego Monday morning. So I took a bus from LA to San Diego, then a ferry across the bay to home, and still got up for work. I was beat ass tired, but it was so worth it.

I only joined in '14 coz I got tired of missing out on stuff. I didn't friend any fam or friends. I don't do anything on there except kp up on stuf, save vids & articles etc. If I want 2 chat 2 peep I ring them.

I think Lovesexy was one of the greatest things he ever did - powerful, imaginative, incredible music and atmosophere, amazing band, fanciful costumes, the whole thing. I have so enjoyed seeing it again. I wish it could be officially re-released, along with key performances from his entire career, I would be happy to pay for any of these shows.

So let me just say that I have disliked Lovesexy for 20 years but last night about 1am I was bored and went to Youtube and watched a 2 hour Lovesexy concert and I must say that concert was amazing and just from watching it I now realize that I missed alot by not feeling the Lovesexy vibe I mean Prince on the blue angel, Cat dancing and Sheila E....just too lovely So a big thank you to those Youtube fairies for posting that concert.

I saw the Lovesexy Tour in Worcester. Mass. Amazing show! I was in the front row (on the back side of the stage) with one of my best friends. I'm still hoping a video of that concert comes out.

I agree that people's reaction ("I never knew.....") to all the stuff on YouTube shows that Prince's absence on that channel probably cost him a lot of new, young fans. But I am glad they are discoveriing him now.

Yep a I saw Lovesexy twice in in London at Wembley Arena in 1988 and to this day it remains the single best live show I have ever seen by any artist. At the time there had never been anything like it.

MY first Prince show was Lovesexy wembley arena 88 too.

That concert film is un-FREAKING-believable. I watched it too just a couple days ago, and I couldn't believe how mesmerizing it was.

He didn't play "Purple Rain"...and I didn't even notice that until later. That's how great that show was!

Yes, to me Lovesexy is the best concert ever given by any artist/musician in the history of music.

I remember being glued to the television when it was broadcast Live! in Europe, constantly checking that my cassettedeck and VHS videorecorder were recording every second of this historic event.

It was a full blown trip, this concert was way ahead of its time and right away I loved it very much and knew it was special. And Prince looked like a modern day Mozart with his long hair and that very cool piano outfit.

He did play Purple Rain at Lovesexy Dortmund '88 but it's not in the upload because otherwise youtube's copyright system would have been triggered and blocked the video already. Same reason why Do Me Baby is missing in the Purple Rain Syracuse concert on youtube.

It was probably the usual ending of the show (before the encore) Lets go crazy, When doves cry, Purple Rain and 1999.

The Purple Rain from Dortmund is pretty good: Prince keeps repeats at the end 'One time to remember, one time to remember....'

I had it on VHS when it came out and forwardedrewinded so much the thing was buggered.

It was a brilliant concert. But now I've heard and see the PR concert, I'll never listen to the album in the same way again. Prince was a genius on stage as well.

Just listening to the guitar solo at the end of Let's Go Crazy on the Lovesexy Tour in Osaka - it's insane. The colours Prince paints with his guitar is astounding.
