I remember being glued to the television when it was broadcast Live! in Europe, constantly checking that my cassettedeck and VHS videorecorder were recording every second of this historic event.

It was a full blown trip, this concert was way ahead of its time and right away I loved it very much and knew it was special. And Prince looked like a modern day Mozart with his long hair and that very cool piano outfit.

He didn't play "Purple Rain"...and I didn't even notice that until later. That's how great that show was!

I noticed the PR thing at the end and I was like this cant be right...Im glad we watched it and revisited that period...its nice.

I had it on VHS when it came out and forwardedrewinded so much the thing was buggered.

It was a brilliant concert. But now I've heard and see the PR concert, I'll never listen to the album in the same way again. Prince was a genius on stage as well.

Great tour, I went to the opening 2 nights in Paris in July 1988, went with the Prince Revolution fan club from Otley near Leeds in UK, was awesome being on a coach to France full of Prince fans, we had a ball !!!!

It's true...Ive been reading alot of the comments and most of them are positive. Seems Prince missed some more fans by not being on there. Kinda makes me sad. Think about all the younger people who couldve become his fans

Also those of us his age raising kids and working. At night we could have been winding down spending time with him. Also learned what a God loving man he was. Sad that all this came after he left us. Now there is a black hole where Prince once exsisted. Miss him more every day.

I've always said that Lovesexy show is the best show. It's my favorite tour.

-I love listening to the rehearsals, and seeing the behind the scenes footage of the rehearsals!

-I love the aesthetics( I want that freaking Blue Piano and the Blue Angel, and the outfits!!!!)

-the 360 stage

-the best versions of The Cross and Anna Stesia live are from this show. A whole stadium singing Love is God, God is Love....my goodness!

-That split he hits in Housequake every.single.time.

-The arrangements are INSANE.

-I love that band, I love Cat, I love Boni! Ugh I love me some Lovesexy.

I was in a musical back in the day and we had to design our own costumes, why did I design a pair of pants with my character's name down the side in sparkly letters like the Lovesexy show fits LMAO.

Does anyone know if any other Lovesexy shows would have been filmed on video? It would be amazing if there were other shows lying in the vault that could one day get released. IDK, I've heard people say here that Prince had a policy of filming all his shows, but when I was reading an account of the filming of the Dortmund concert in The Vault book it seemed to imply that that was a special one off affair, can anyone shed light on this?
