Will Arista re-release Rave?

Will this happen? I know Prince had so many issues with Warner Bros but can Arista just rerelease Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic or do they need permission from Prince's estate?

I don't know, but I like my vinyl copy as is. My CD case broke soon after I got it (and every one I've seen in used bins are broken, too). confused

I suppose it depends on the deets in the distribution deal. Do they have a right to press & ship it as they wish? Was it only for a certain amount (like The Black Album in 1994)? They could choose to re-release it, if they have that option. But I don't see a remaster happening with that one, being a newer recording that had digital enhancements probably.

WB could release the Rave Unto the Joy Fantasic and we can pretend that Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic never existed. :p

Good thing Prince owned the masters to Rave instead of Clive "Silverballs" Davis. I would not be amused by that old slick devil make money off of someone's death like he did with Phyllis, Biggie, LeftEye, and Whitney.
