Prince Day in Minneapolis? I don't know if this has been posted here, but did Prince ever recieve a special day from his home town? The first I recall was about a year ago at the Stevie Wonder concert, when a representative of the mayor got on stage with Stevie and they declared it Stevie Wonder Day in Minneapolis. Then in November the mayor herself actually got on stage at a Janet Jackson concert and declared that Nov 1st is Janet Jackson Day in Minneapolis. And now it's Beyonce Day in Minnesota. So I think something will be coming up for Prince, probably on June 7th. Which of course is kind of weird since he didn't celebrate birthdays, but it's as good a point of reference as any. Thanks, so they have been doing this for a while and have never done one for Prince. Maybe they have asked and like the the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he turned them down. Keep Calm & Listen To Prince | |
