Never heard anything like that before moments! It's been a month since the passing of Prince and like many I'm revisiting songs I've not 'listened' to for a while and remembered fondly and gratefully the songs that gave me a "I've never heard anything like that before !!" Moments.
I mean the songs we now take for granted but were actual game changers, evidence that no other artist could have come up with these - similar to moments by Bowie or the Beatles. So here's a quick list of some of mine and so grateful I could experience these at the actual time they were being unveiled without snippets from the Internet ..... Just on a record or radio exclusive: In no particular order: If I was your Girlfriend Sign o the times Mountains I wonder U When Doves Cry Lady Cab Driver Head Shockadelica Alphabet Street Superfunkycalifragisexy Gett Off Kiss I'm sure there are many others for people but I just remember the moments I heard these and that's a great lasting gift from Prince ! Been a fan of Prince since 1988, been a member of the org for a lot of years, although I'm not one of the most vocal of members, I've also been revisiting a lot of his music and been reminded of many great tunes over the past few weeks. I'm currently loving beggin woman blues, motherless child, the grand progression and poor little bastard at the moment, although come tomorrow that's very likely to change. I wanted what was yours, now I just want u 2 care

I can relate... I was lucky enough to be at the July 1994 show where the song P Control was aired over the loudspeaker for the first time. In addition to being one of the first persons outside of Paisley Park employees to hear it, I also got to see make Mayte dance to it, so it was a double treat. No Candy 4 Me
