...how's this for coincidence 
...was watching again a "channeling" video of Prince - one that I tried to put up at the org twice and got the thread locked or wiped off completely. Anyway, I know what you are thinking ...but I'm not into psychic stuff. But I am open to it. In any case, the moderators of this site wiping off my threads with this link/topic made me question my self even more ...and I already questioned this supposed medium's contact with Prince, as being the potential bull shit (money scam) and otherwise fruit cake b.s. ... But I thought I wondered if I was "wrong" to have simply drawn attention to it at all. Maybe to do this was improper somehow... In any case, I have gone back to my original take on it all - which is, that even if it was a hoax/ bull shit, what was said in the "channelling" video that I saw was just basic "it's all gonna work out alright" kind of stuff, that, really what harm is it to hold out openess to it POSSIBLY being for real...??!!! In any case, I like some closure. And I think that one of the reasons why the death of Prince has had such an affect on me, when I barely take note when a celeb dies, well, one reason is because I felt a connection to him through his music and his dying is therefore like a part of my self dying. And I think that it's effected my sense of mortality, of my youth haveing ended with his passing almost -like his death is a milestone of that. And other similar issues come with this... In any case, I have decided to accept this "channelling" as real. If just because I like it. In it he is relayed by the medium as speaking to the woman asking questions - whose name just so happens to be my own : Elisa. I missed his last two concerts here in Melbourne. My fault for being such a shut in. I would have loved to have seen him perform again. Killed to have attended the after party in Melbourn earlier this year where he danced and mingled with everyday fans. But I AM going to take it as a sign that in this so called psychic (dodgy as, no way I' tell anyone in real life!!!) reading, that he said my name, as a sign that it is real. Purely based on my feeling good about it. Just like his song goes "...But, I'm here to tell you: there's something else. -the after world" ...just what I wanted to hear. So, I encourage you to go with your gut. Many have written about these "signs". - Carl Jung for one. These supposed coincidences. And I figure, that if you have a wry smile on your face and take them with that sort of spirit- why not believe in them. Why not??!! It doesn't have to be about ego. It can just be a nice message that all of us are equal and that we are all connected, famous or not. Well, your twitter exchange is still pretty effin awesome nonetheless ...!!!!

(again: how truly exciting to have had an interaction with him!! Closest I got was at his 2003 tour of Australia at an afterparty, where he danced half a meter in front of me ..but I never got to speak to him and he left about five or ten minutes later) | |

Ok here are my coincidences.. Immediately after his death and feeling awful, I decided I had to do something to put my grief into action and after coming across that iconic photo of him in front of the music notes wall, I decided that a small mural of him deserves to be on that wall. I set out to find who to direct the change.org petition to, and found it was a group of lawyers that owned it, only one name attached that I could find. So I sent him and email through his website asking if he owned the building, never heard back and didn't really fully expect to. | |
