Of course I have other interests, but for over 20 to 25 years, I have really spent a lot of my time keeping up with Prince, where he is touring, what is going on with him, his music and everything else. I used to play women's sports, softball, bowling, but an injury and getting older sidelined me a bit so I really, really got into Prince. I remember the first time I ever heard of him, outside a record store. I went in to buy a record I really liked called "Soft and Wet" and was surprised to see the artist was named "Prince", I thought it was a female singing and not a male singing falsetto. I liked him for years after that and bought his records faithfully, but something happened after I had a sad breakup during the "Lovesexy" period, and I got onboard the Prince express and never got off. I got deeper into his music and began studying the lyrics more, and they really affected me. I started thining more about "Love is God, God is Love" and what that meant. I am finding more things to do to get my mind off of this sad, sad time, but it is not easy.

Here is why i am fucked.....True confession,, i've bassed part of my life on planning his next release, next concert i can attend, logging into the org,etc..someome just mentioned family..this place has been apart of me since alt.music.prince was disbaneded..He was my first concert , Controvery tour and i have subsequently seen him on damn near ever tour since..Even when i was in Navy, i made sure my leave was to see him overseas or at Hampton Coliseum iin VA,,, I took a sales job at IBM as i would cover the Central Region which MN was a part of..Do meetings all week with Cargill and Superalu and Wilson Leather etc etc 3M corp just so i could extend the trip prior to going back to Boston to see if he would show up at Bunkers or do a show at PP, now that is over.,,Although i have a family it is like i lost my brother and best friend whom i loved spending time with,,, Huge void in my life for whcih now i need a suitable replacement yest nothing or no ones seems to resonate with me like he did
