It must be really rough being referred to as a beautiful exotic woman confused

I found out the hard way that some people find the word offensive when I told my ex she had beautiful exotic eyes. I had no idea she was offended until months later when she gave me a list of all the things I had unintentionally said that offended her. It was a learning experience, but I'm also less interested in dating black women if I have to second guess everything I say. I never imagined a compliment to someone, especially someone I felt close to could be taken so badly.

It might be offensive to you, which is fine, but it's inoffensive to countless others. Differ all you want.

I'm offended that huff post author presumes to tell me what I'm thinking when I say "exotic". Also - I'm not responsible for how somebody else feels when they hear words they don't like. How they choose to manage their feelings is their effort and responsibility.

WOW !!! My three girls are called that by their agent and manager.Wasn't cindy crawford called that?Exotic always seemed to me that you couldn't tell what race/nationality someone was.btw someone added beautiful on the end of it.Its just exotic.Everyone exotic isn't beautiful biggrin jk And if someone isnt going to date someone because they dont know whats racist .Maybe you shouldn't then because your children would need a REAL father to defend them when they're name called just for being born.

Did he say he was celibate for 10 years? That's a mighty long time. I'm thinking I read that wrong.

I don't know if it was actually for a decade, but I do believe he was celibate for a time, especially in the last year or two before his passing.
