I wanted him to convert to Catholicism and compose a Mass. Also to do a concert tour (of Australia) where he performed The Rainbow Children on stage from start to finish in full, and that would be the entire concert.

Both mine have already said but for me, Carpool Karaoke. For him, for some reason I wish he had been able to have a healthy and happy family life; to raise his own family. On the flip side I think if he had wanted that for himself he would have found a way to make it happen. | |

Yes, he just preferred not to in concert, and to also of course let others play in the studio. This has been reported by several of the folks that worked with him. "You always get the dream that you deserve, from what you value the most" -Prince 2013 | |

He was such a musicians musician, would have loved an album of his covers of Jazz standards. That little clip of his "Summertime" sound check would have been a taste of it. Don't laugh at this old woman but his perfectionism in his art always reminded me of Sinatra. | |

stinasings said: I always wanted him to do a storytellers or a documentary and take us through his work and songwriting process. Who inspired what lyric what instrument he uses mostly when writing. There was a show with Darryl Hall from Hall and Oates and he would have musicians on play their song with them in a stripped down way and interview them on their process. I would have liked to see him do that. I don't think prince could be this openly introspective. I know he opened up musically bur for prince to bang on about his reality would be anathema. I also don't think after forty years in the business he would even know how to translate or relate to such a thought process | |
