I was just wondering aloud. There was the 1st with the family, Tyka, etc. Then, Mayte and Manuella also had one, and now the 3rd JW one yesterday.

I can see the first one with not everyone being able to attend....

But is there a reason why, for example 3rd Eye and Sheila and maybe many others did not attend Mayte/Manuela tribute? It seems (from the outside) that some key early people were at the 2nd one in LA.....But is there a reason why Sheila or Morris (Time) would not attend the LA one?

It came to my mind when on FB Sheila (let us know) that she was 'on her way' to Minneapolis...Why she had to announce that I don't know..but that was the cause of me thinking this to begin with.

I don't think that Sheila was probably invited to LA. Listen to Dr. Funkenberry's latest podcast - he throws some deep shade at Sheila. Deep.

Sheila E is good with the people at the 2nd Memorial so is Morris Day the Time etc

Yes I'll haVe to listen Funkenberry. Have not done that yet. I also had not realized that Morris had gone to the first one.

I guess when people preach love,etc....it's time like these you hope things are put aside and you celebrate the life....Not in 'factions'...I know it's not totally factions...It just seemed that the LA one had a wide net of his frienships...old and new. So I just assumed all would have joined that one.

I can see the JW having a special one...for religious reasons..

The first 2 were invitation only. My question is why did no family/friends attend the service at his Kingdom Hall? I would have gone out of sheer respect. How close was Prince to his family???

I do know that Sheila is on tour so maybe she couldn't make it.
