Looks like an Old School Wrecka Stow. I haven't seen or been in one of those in years. All the critics love you in death. Wasn't it Hendrix who said, "Once you're dead, you've got it made for life" or something like that?

Is that Target,FYE,Walmart, or Primark?

I know its definitely an english store from the pound sign on the price ads of the records.

I know its definitely not Walmart since their entertainment section always sucks.

Does anyone know if there are any Sam Goody stores left in the world?

He will probably be the last artist to move compact discs like this.

Grateful that he was able to negotiate his Masters prior to his death.

I walked into a local FYE today, and saw a rack of his stuff. I wasn't prepared. My roommate comes round the corner, to find me bawling in the middle of the store. ME! A GROWN ASS MAN! CRYING IN PUBLIC!

The "Remembering Prince" sign on top is what got me. I took the pic, and ran out.

How are you going to have a prince display like that and not put "Come", "Emancipation" and "Musicology" on it?

This HMV place look like Sam Goody before it went bankrupt but they dropping the ball on those 3 albums.

"Emancipation" alone could run for about $75 to $125 since it is a 3 disc set. $175 if one of the concerts associated with that album are included.

"Come" was a flop when it originally got released but i think people caught onto it in later years. "Come" wouldnt be a big seller but it would sell more units than when it was released.

"Musicology" should be on that shelf because its a damn fine experimental album and cause it was really Prince's last truly great album. Everything that came after "Musicology" was okay and had a few good songs on it but they were mostly confusing albums.

I cant wait until the contents of the vault are released and then the shelves will really be overflowing with Prince stuff.

Can you imagine the price it would be for a collection of music videos that are mixed with the unreleased ones?

The prices for the concert films alone are going to be astronomical.

Hell, what if someone comes along and finishes Prince's book? It is going to be hard as hell to find a reasonably priced copy on amazon.

Its really a tragic time to be a Prince fan cause of the passing but its also a good time to be one cause of all the possibilities of what could happen with the vault.

Seeing that remembering prince sign , it's weird. It's like a memorial in the middle if the store. Seems unreal.

Green with envy seeing those displays. The only store (in my area) showing somewhat of "mini" display is B&N. I would love to grab those "Slave Trade" and "U.T.C.M" DVD's.

They both seem to be 80s based, odd they both used the same parade photo.

I just can't see a lot of the already circulating concert footage being released officially, along with some of the music videos.

What makes you think stock is available? Emancipation & Musicology are long out of print. Come? Not popular and likely forgotten by many retailors. They don't have "Sign O The Times". That's the real crime. They don't have "Hit N' Run Phase 1", a recent release.

Come, the Gold Experience, Emancipation are long out of Print, Chaos and Disorder, Crystal Ball, etc...all out of print.

YOu all are so lucky, in my basic ass city they'd never do this. I wish they would so I could get Prince stuff I haven't got before, I really want the Controversy vinyl for the infamous poster lol

Okay I admit I don't own any vinyl, how much were Prince albums before?

I went to Barnes and Noble the other day and they had the 1999 vinyl for $35. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it wasn't that high before.
