Songs inspired by mayte I was looking at the songs inspired by susannah thread and wondered which songs were inspired by mayte. Which ones do you think? I get a feeling he even wrote songs about her years after they split.

If I'm not mistaken the entire Love Symbol album was inspired by her. The Most Beautiful Girl in the World and The One are other songs written about her, perhaps there are more but those are the ones that stand out. As far as songs written after their split, I don't know but I do know Call My Name was written for his then wife, Mani. Love is God,

The Ride. (he said so in the Crystal Ball booklet.) And I suppose the entire Emancipation album is about her. Damn! Did any woman ever inspire 3 albums?! I'm not even sure if that's something to be proud of... | |

Yeah, so much of Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic is a big kiss-off to her.
"Whenever U Go, Whatever U Do", & "I Love U But I Don't Trust U Anymore" being a couple of notable ones.

Basically all of Love Symbol she was the muse with Emancipation and parts of TGE she was the love/inspirational being. I think Rave was about her to based on the TL but can't be too sure since he recycles songs so idk. I kinda think "she loves me for me" is a diss song to her while being a love song to Mani. Sidenote: I think it's kinda weird in all his live shows he doesn't do much from Symbol thru the Rave time period. | |
