If you could have soundboards of any show

Let's say that the Prince estate decides to release "soundboard by demand" shows, which shows would you like to see released in soundboard form?

Here is my list:

First Avenue 3/8/82

First Avenue 8/3/83

Prom Center 6/7/85

Minnesota Music Award Show 5/20/86

I'd be more than happy with anything from '83(ish) up to '96, also anything from the ONA tour. You can keep the rest.

The ones I went to for nostalgia, the final Atlanta shows because they were the last and Prince was apparently pleased enough with them to announce a release, and yeah, the 3-Aug-83 gig.

Ideally a good release from every tour, a main show and aftershow, would be nice in time.

Off the top of my head, I can´t think of any shows that I´d like to have in soundboard quality that I don´t already have. And those I don´t have, I have as pretty decent audience recordings.

So, maybe some of those Ultimate Live Experience Tour (Gold Tour) shows and aftershows, especially the first Paradiso show where he played a mesmerizing 18 &Over live version. But then the audience part probably would be too low in volume.

.

As far as I´m concerned, I´d much rather have some of those wonderful 1983-85 warehouse rehearsals in pristine quality.

I could listen to them for days...and sometimes I actually do.

Neon Rendezvous is one of those rehearsals.

And I know I´m not the only one who loves that rehearsal.

The ones from:

First Avenue: 03/Aug/83

The SOTT & Parade warm up shows at First Ave.

the boot of Small Club

the boot of Hallowed B Thy Name (a Brussels Gold show I believe, which the video is on YouTube too!)

Any one of the JOTY tour.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Why just soundboards? I want DVDs of every single Aftershow Gig from ´87/´88. I dream of the Den Haag show since I bought ´Nightclubbing´ in Berlin 20 years ago. innocent

Now that´s a good one!

I totally forgot about that awesome Bataclan 2002 show.

But..the sound quality of that audience recording is actually pretty decent, isn´t it?

Still.....it would be nice to have this in soundboard quality.

Good to see you back on the org.

I would love to have soundboard recordings of the shows I saw at Paisley. November 6, 1999, was a great gig.

Kever10

I managed to see him live only twice, which is not nearly as much as I would've liked, but more than others will have had the chance to, and I'm just glad I got to see those 2 as they were amazing.

More than anything, i'd love to be able to listen to them back, and also play them for friends of mine who missed out.

The 2 shows were:

21 Nights, O2 arena, 17/08/2007

HitNRun tour, MEN, 16/05/2014

(I regret not going to the aftershow in London as well 😳)

Yes it was! My very first ever gig at Paisley.

I'd obviously love soundboards of all of the shows I had been to. If I have to be selective, I'd go for the soundcheck on May 28th (for selfish reasons) and the whole Xenophobia Celebration.

Awesome! This is the first time (I think) I've met another Orger who attended the Nov 6, 1999, Paisley gig. What a great show that was!

Yeah, for an audience recording, it´s great. Prince was on fire there. I wish I had that entire bass medley on a single Mp3 with great quality smile

4/2002 HOB after show. Jaw dropping versions of Calhoun Square & B. Strange were heard on this night. This was the show that spawned the BODP found on the ONE NITE ALONE after show set.

3/2009 LA Troubadour late set. The best version of Colonized Mind I've ever heard. I'd kill to relive it. P turned it into a guitar saxophone duel with mike phillips. He brought his A game during this electrifying set.

The Grove at Anaheim, 5.8.13. I got tired of waiting around for Prince to come to Nashville again and flew to California to see him. My one and only show. At least I had the good sense to buy tickets for both the early and late shows. I'll never forget it.

(Had a great time waiting in line with other fans to get in...one lady gave me a pair of Prince-glyph guitar pick earrings, which I have worn for the past two weeks.

Joined the Org that week, too.)

Wembley Arena, Aug 2nd 1988 - my first Prince concert.
