Thank you for this wonderful thread!
As I have looked through all 100+ pages of pictures, I just realized that I can hardly find a "bad" picture of him. He was such a beautiful man, regardless of the expression or camera angle (it also doesn't matter his age, outfit or hairstyle). It really is remarkable! |

I have not posted here too much or commented on my feelings cuz as of Tuesday watching the Choir,Choir,Choir tribute of When Does Cry it sent me into a deep painful cry just like it was 4/21 again..... Guys.....I'm struggling......many of you share and understand this awful hurt. I just wanted to post a very heartfelt THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAS CONTRIBUTED WITH PICTURES AND COMMENTED ON THIS THREAD! I don't know about others but for me it has been acutely therapeutic. I loved looking at Prince, he was just a " beautiful man". I want to believe he knew he was beautiful and played on that to drive women nuts....lil bastard I have saved every image, the painting posted is absolutely the shit.....lucky you. Between YouTube and the Org I'm trying my best to come to some peace. The circus that is swirling around the aftermath of his death is unbearable for me to put any energy towards. I peek at very little to control my anger and anxiety. Well I didn't want to start a ramble, but I had to let you guys know openly....you are helping this chic with all of this eye candy [Edited 5/13/16 4:44am]
I understand all too well how you feel. I feel as if a piece of my soul has died. There is a void that will never be filled. I look at all of these amazing pictures and say, every time, "What a beautiful man", and it isn't just physical beauty. He is a beautiful soul, and I say is because death will never change that. I remember him saying once that his music would be all he left behind once he was finished living this experience. It helps me sometimes to think that he has transitioned from this experience to a new one. It brings me comfort. I, like Prince, believe in God and I know that he has gone home to be with the Father, and that makes it a bit easier to bear. I understand, also, about avoiding the media and all the ridiculousness that is a constant in this turmoil that his passing has left behind. I feel so angry that rather than celebrate this amazing man and his musical and creative genius as well as the incredible philanthropic and humantarian work he did, people would rather smear his name and speak innuendo and speculation like it's fact. It's too much. This community is wonderful and it's a place that we can all come together and we understand. We all feel the same profound sense of loss, and we all love this man, and it helps to know that I am not alone in feeling this way. Thanks for this great community. |
