Yes that's one of my favorites and was listening to it last night. And of course not only did he play that guitar solo, he played all the other instruments and wrote the song too.

Yeah, that's a good one.

Though not as good as the one in "Batdance." That's the best 50 seconds of the man's entire career.

I always think Pink Cashmere's solo is so good because it's so shocking. That over-the-top super-distorted guitar coming in on that sweet groove, it just makes you take notice because you just weren't expecting that. I equate it with the one from The Holy River. That guitar drops so hard at the end. You guys are right. We'll never get to hear that again... half of the pedals I own for my guitar are because I heard Prince had one at one time. If only I knew how to use them.

this song really deserved to be on an album. it feels kind of lost on the hits
package. but i'm still very very glad he released it. it's an exquisite gem of
a song. even by prince's standards it's a stand out.

the guitar solo is amazing. and no one did vocal layering like prince love

I strongly agree.

By the way, if I'm not wrong it was placed on a configuration of "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic" in 1989.
I have to research.
And on a side note, I ever hope someday a pristine qualitity of the entire RUTJF will leak.

There are so many great solo's. This week I've listened to this one more than others. Stunning guitar work. After this, Ive also been focused on the Joy & Repitition version from the Copenhagen show. Anyway... cheers!

I love joy n repetition! Has anybody seen Joy in repetition performance for either Mtv or Mt2 Europe. it used to be on youtube but I can't find it. it has alot of Bongos in this version of the song.
