I know we all had good intentions, but thinking about it really hurts now I mean so many prayers and well wishes and he told us to save them

I was listening to Dr. Funkenberry's first podcast pre-421 where he was pretty much mocking people for being concerned (I know he was meaning well and was following Prince's lead who was also dismissive).

i think prince told us to save our prayes for a few dsays only because he knew the TMZ story about his emergency landing and opiate save shot would come out in the press.

i think he was sort of saying 'don't waste your prayers on me until you know what really happened. i brought it on myself' kind of thing..
