The song is pretty old, 1979 IIRC. Prince gave a rerecorded version of the song to Jill Jones in 1986 but it wasn't released, then it was re-used and finally released with Taja Sevelle on vocals for her debut album in 87. It was again rerecorded with Mayte for her debut album (circa 93-94) but that version remains unreleased, then finally it was again rerecorded and released last year and there's a version of that last recording that isn't circulating. Prince seems to have been very fond of the track given how he would revisit it often. All the versions above have been leaked save for the alternate version of the 2015 version.

I thought If I Could Get Your Attention was from the mid eighties, and that it was Wouldn't You Love To Love Me that was from the very early days.
