It is from this store: Walgreen Pharmacy 4950 County Rd 101, Minnetonka, MN 55345
specifically bang on in the carpark on the road between Walgreens and the Animal Hospital.
Google maps it and drop the man on that road and you'll see exactly where the car was parked (in the carpark facing towards the animal hospital, and the hospital shown in the BG in the pic.
[Edited 5/2/16 12:54pm]
Damn...did somebody really take time out of the day to do all that
Are you surprised? It's the org. You know that. My jaw use to drop over stuff drug up from never neverland. Also, this pharmacy is older than most of the others he passed along the way...(less than a 15 minute drive) It may very well be that it was the first pharmacy he ever visited in that area. |

Yes, the Walgreen Pharmacy located at 4950 County Rd 101, Minnetonka, MN 55345 *is* the correct Walgreens. You can see the side of the animal hospital in the pic with Prince. Note the windows with the green siding above them. You can even make out where he was parked by the cables/pipes running down the side of the hospital. Also, if I am right, that Walgreens is right next to - ta da - Bremer Bank!
Isn't Bremer in charge of the estate for the time being?
Yep! They were chosen because they've handled his financial matters for years, reportedly.

No, I agree he was at Walgreens but he may have chosen that specific Walgreens because he's gone to Bremer Bank there. That was his bank.
Yeah, I meant be was probably shopping at Walgreens. Or wouldn't he have parked in the Bank's designated carpark?
I think we're just getting our wires crossed... lol I was saying he probably chose that Walgreen because it was near Bremer Bank (which was his bank) and has done business in that area in the past. I wasn't suggesting he parked at WG to go to the bank... only to establish there's a reason he might choose that particular pharamacy in that particular location. |

Sorry, from the google maps link you posted, I couldn't see a retaining wall any where, and trusted someone that lives in that area. I still don't see a retaining wall, but, oh well, the building looks the same.
You can see the retaining wall near the middle if you follow the link I posted. |

Speaking of detective work, I can tell you that with most things, usually what it *looks like it may be* is usually *what it is/turns out to be*. So far, it looks to me like Prince got prescribed pain killers sometime around 2009 or so, got addicted from 2011-2015 or so, kicked the habit in 2016, went into withdrawals (the flu symptoms), fell off the wagon, pharmacy hopped and OD'd (maybe not a strict OD on Percocet, but they will have caused the respirator/heart failure/whatever happened in the evelvator directly). Just my take using the stuff that's come to light.

Org detectives
Well, why it matters is because if TMZ was saying it was near Paisley Park and they're wrong on that, what else are they wrong about? Those of us that live in the area look at this photo and know they're wrong immediately. [Edited 5/2/16 14:44pm] |

Not sure what your point was here, but the retaining wall is in the Walgreens parking lot. Posting a closeup of the Animal Hospital proves nothing (other than you can see that brown building with its dark green highlights in the background of the Prince photo).
I made a little diagram to help you understand (obviously to get the same perspective as the TMZ photo you'd have to be standing in the parking lot, this is from the street on Google maps):

Dammit! I'm actually sitting here studying this. SMH.
But I will say, that wall looks a long way from the Animal Hospital compared to that building in the "Prince walking" pic, that building looks a lot closer, like right next door. I mean there's a bank, or whatever that is with a ATM, parking lot between them in this bottom shot. So, there some serious optical illusion happening or I'm missing something.
Heck, I'm still preplexed he physically went to Walgreens at all, the whys get lost in the shuffle. Regular ole Walgreens. Even for toiletries sometimes. Who knew? |

The bank is off at like a 45 degree angle (directly straight ahead in this pic) and in the TMZ pic (at a different angle) there is the carpark, Prince, the wall, the grass just beyond the wall, the road and then the Animal Hospital. So it's just across the road, it IS next door, but with one street width and a small thickness of grass inbetween him and the hospital. The bank/ATM is up the road (to the screen left in the TMZ pic). Imagine looking directly towards the animal hospital from Walgreens, and that's almost the TMZ shot. Perhaps what's throwing you is the size of the Animal Hospital in the TMZ shot, which is probably caused by the lens/zoom combo used on the photographers camera. [Edited 5/2/16 15:41pm] |

Yes, you're right, the building is not Lake Minnetonka but Lake Minnetonka but you can exit Walgreen's directly onto Riute 7, take a right about half-mile up the rod onto Vine Hill, drive about a mile to Cottagewood Rd and you're prett much right there on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. |

Yeah, the original post was about how the TMZ pic was fake, but it wasn't so there's really no need for the thread. However, we're allowed to discuss the photo of Prince at Walgreens given it's the key piece of evidence being shown around at every news source in support of a drug addiction theory. If it turns out not to be a genuine photograph, it's because it's a still from a video. I expect this could turn into moving footage before too long. Maybe when the toxicology reports go public and top dollar is paid. |

I don't think anyone's saying the photo of him isn't really. Just weird the different visuals of all the shots in this thread. Looks off to me, but perhaps there is a reasonable explanation for that. |

It's the lens of the camera used. If you focus on someone, and then physically move the camera back and zoom in, they stay the same but background appears to expand and grow in size in relation to them. The depth and distance in the shot being "off" is the combo of lens and zoom that was used to take the shot. [Edited 5/2/16 16:40pm] |

OMGM I can't believe I'm falling into this but I just have to ask. How does him going to that specific support the theory of a drug addiction? The connection just seems so weak. Join me under the waterfall

It's because TMZ reported he was there 4 times in a week, and he had OD'd on prescription painkillers a few days before that. So it's a probability connection. Someone OD's on painkillers, then frequents a pharmacy in abundance right after = he may have been abusing meds. [Edited 5/2/16 16:50pm] |

Sounds like an awfully good and expensive lens for a very fuzzy shot. That lens makes it look like I could hop that wall and smack that building all at once in the prince shot. But in truth there's some walking involved between the 2 building. I don't know, weird. |
