That "walgreens" photo I'm a newbie around here--tried to post a few days ago to clear up the nonsense about this photo but it took days to get a login. I'd consider myself more a neighbor than a fan, but nonetheless, the media coverage has gotten under my skin and thought I could offer some reassurance. That photo is not from any of the local Walgreens stores. Not the two on route 5, not the one in Minnetonka that TMZ is claiming. There is no brick retaining wall in the parking lot of any of them. The articles all over about him driving past so many pharmacies to get to this specific one in Minnetonka? Nope. I don't know where that picture was taken, but it wasn't there. Honestly it looks more like the outside of the local coffee shop he would frequent.

Thank you. "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

It is from this store: Walgreen Pharmacy 4950 County Rd 101, Minnetonka, MN 55345 specifically bang on in the carpark on the road between Walgreens and the Animal Hospital. Google maps it and drop the man on that road and you'll see exactly where the car was parked (in the carpark facing towards the animal hospital, and the hospital shown in the BG in the pic. And it's near many more conveniently accessed amenities than any of the other pharmacies he drove by plus the parking lot offers a modicum of privacy. It's also closer to Lake Minnetonka.

. Nope. There is a grassy area in the picture by Walgreens between the animal hospital and the pharmacy. In the picture with Prince, there is a brick wall that is about as tall as him, then a grassy area. No brick walls around the animal hospital, as it sits level with the pharmacy.

well thanks for clearing that up

I drove through the parking lot this morning. It is not. There is no brick retention wall. You can't even see the animal hospital in the background from the ground.

Damn...did somebody really take time out of the day to do all that

Nope, there's no privacy on that corner. You're talking about the corner of two major roads with a HUGE high school across the street.

I live 5 blocks from the one in Minnetonka, it definitely has a retaining wall. And despite the fact that Target is busy, the Walgreens and small shops on that side are not. That's why the restaurant behind the Walgreens keeps going out of business. [Edited 5/2/16 13:03pm]

It is the carpark TMZ says it is. [Edited 5/2/16 13:07pm]

Agreed. The ligitimacy of the pic has been verified countless times. [Edited 5/2/16 13:10pm]

Yes, the Walgreen Pharmacy located at 4950 County Rd 101, Minnetonka, MN 55345 *is* the correct Walgreens. You can see the side of the animal hospital in the pic with Prince. Note the windows with the green siding above them. You can even make out where he was parked by the cables/pipes running down the side of the hospital. Also, if I am right, that Walgreens is right next to - ta da - Bremer Bank!

I can't believe I'm doing this. But anyway: From google maps The wooh is on the one!

True. But he was parked in WG carpark, the Bank's carpark is on the other side of the Bank building. So he was probably at Walgreens. [Edited 5/2/16 13:20pm]

No, I agree he was at Walgreens but he may have chosen that specific Walgreens because he's gone to Bremer Bank there. That was his bank.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Yeah, I meant be was probably shopping at Walgreens. Or wouldn't he have parked in the Bank's designated carpark?

Now I'm just confused. But if I lived there in Chan I would be doing the same. This sudden passing away is just too mysterious for my liking and I would want to play detective to. Yep, and it offers a modicum of privacy It is easier to access than any of the other "passed" pharmacieswhike being near many more amenities including doctors. TMZ and people are making a big deal out of nothing. Also the pharmacist inside that Wakgreens is tucked nicely in the back corner.

. Sorry, from the google maps link you posted, I couldn't see a retaining wall any where, and trusted someone that lives in that area. I still don't see a retaining wall, but, oh well, the building looks the same.

Yeah, this was just covered. I tried to find the right Walgreens on Google Earth, finding those around Paisley Park. A local offered to do a day trip, and found the right one. The structure you see behind (with the green trim) is an animal hospital. Go here, and find reply #72.
Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Speaking of detective work, I can tell you that with most things, usually what it *looks like it may be* is usually *what it is/turns out to be*. So far, it looks to me like Prince got prescribed pain killers sometime around 2009 or so, got addicted from 2011-2015 or so, kicked the habit in 2016, went into withdrawals (the flu symptoms), fell off the wagon, pharmacy hopped and OD'd (maybe not a strict OD on Percocet, but they will have caused the respirator/heart failure/whatever happened in the evelvator directly). Just my take using the stuff that's come to light. [Edited 5/2/16 13:35pm]
