Nothing. I really don't mourn like that. Not to say I Ain't cried or felt bad or cycled through albums and YouTube vids...I'm a private mourner. I don't even do family funerals...let alone some some public Prince gathering or purple symbolic physical item. I understand them and don't find them silly or stupid...just not for me. I don't believe in an after life aside from the one created by memories, direct and passed on. So....I simply think of him. The examples he's set...how i fall short and what I need to improve make me sad and cry because ongoing guidance and input is gone Frome someone I value. Enuff people are speaking of him now and his legacy is loud enuff so as I don't have to now....so all I do is think...just like my gramma and grandpa and cousin and uncle. All people I love and adore and all only a thought away. | |

I wore a Purple Polo shirt. I purchased this shirt to wear to Prince's concert at Key Arena in Seattle in August of 2004. Right about now I am also thankful that my birthday is in February. That makes my birthstone Amethyst (Purple). He rally was truly my favorite artist. I cannot believe he is Gone. I will miss him!I usually wear purple, because of Prince. But after hearing the tragic news I went and had my nails done purple and have been wearing something purple everyday: coat, skirt, cardigan, scarf, shoes. | |

No purple for me, but...anyone remember when Sammy Davis Jr died and Bill Cosby wore an "SDJ" button for an entire season of "The Cosby Show"? Way back then I said to myself, "That's what I'm gonna do if Prince dies." Well, the "Rude Boy" button I bought at the swap meet in the summer of 1983 has been on my shirt everyday since. Purple eye shadow and eye liner flicks. I work in customer service so couldn't really change my uniform colour, but I have been considering a new purple tattoo. Purple gym shirt and purple sneakers for the gym.
To top it all off, I have a purple purse.
I've always kept something in my wardrobe that is purple just in case I attend a Prince concert again (been to 9). Sad that none of us will have that opportunity again but we will always celebrate his life!!
