Per Nilsen's Days of Wild

I finally found my long-lost copy of Per Nilsen's Days of Wild in all its 6-pt font glory. However, I was not able to find the CD that came with it that had all those back issues of Uptown on it. SHIT. From the perspective of a fan in 2016, how much am I missing? I never got off my lazy ass and looked through all those issues.

Someone recently provided me with a copy of The Vault, which I believe is an update of Days of Wild or at least a combo of that book plus some others that Per Nilsen wrote. I could be wrong. If I read The Vault, am I missing anything by not having those Uptown back issues?

Pretty sure The Vault doesn't have the info from the 2 (at least) bootleg special issues of Uptown. Those were great. Pre-internet it was my only resource to help pick which boots to buy..

If any of you guys are in contact with Per or Lars (I've lost touch) and want to pitch them to get the Uptown material online, I would be super happy to discuss whatever might be necessary to make that happen -- I want that content online for all to see, before it's lost!

That would be amazing. Especially since Prince's passing, this information is very important!

I think Militant used to be in contact with Per. Ben, maybe contact him to see if he could check in with Per?

I have his email address. We wrote back and forth a few times when I was asking why he wouldn't make a digital version of The Vault.

It become somewhat moot when a pdf version showed up not too long after.
