Sirius FINALLY has a Prince station, channel 50. As I listened over the past few days it was an okay mix, some obscurities but a lot of repeating.

If they keep it I'll subscribe but it might just be a temporary thing.

Again, it's a heartbreak that they didn't do this before.

They're seemingly just throwing it all together; some of the songs are just taken from CDs with segues intact; like the whole thing after DAMN U.

And why the edit of Batdance??

But then, they earn their purple when they play a live version of Sometimes It Snows In April.

Hopefully they'll get it together and make it permanent.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but it's temporary as this channel is The Groove

Maybe.

They could do anything if there's enough interest; put it on another channel or whatever they want.

With some tweaking there could easily be a great Prince station; I mean they do it for other artists.

Yeah it was cool. We don't subscribe to XM anymore but the Prince station was free all weekend in the car. They played the extended versions of Kiss, Sexy Dancer, and The Greatest Romance.

I agree they could easily have a Prince channel. My goodness they have a Pearl Jam channel. Nothing againt them but there's no comparison in the volume of their catalogs.

I'm loving the Prince tribute on the Groove station, however, they really should create a new permanent channel with nothing but Prince's music like they have with Pearl Jam, the Grateful Dead, Bruce Springsteen, Sinatra and Elvis. The tribute on the Groove channel will end at the end of this week I believe.

I used to subscribe but quit, but I'd definitely subscribe again if they make it a PERMANENT station.

I am happy (yet surprised) to say that when I got in my car this morning, they are still going strong on the Prince tribute.

I am liking that they are playing a large variety of stuff, Madhouse, colabs, vault releases.

It is actually really good.

I actually could've sworn they said that last Friday was going to be the last day for it, but then Saturday when I got in my car it was still on and like you said, it's still going strong through today as well. So happy about that. And yes I also agree, they are playing a huge variety of his music, not just a loop of familar songs. I was surprised that they were playing his live tracks from the One Night Alone Vegas shows (I recognized it because I have the DVD he released through NPG).

It's already been extended twice - so who knows how long they'll keep it up?

Heard they also played "Wonderful Ass" on last week.

I've been enjoying this channel as well. It's like hanging with an old friend...

So far this past week and a half I've heard "Wonderful Ass", and "Sexual Suicide".

I did this the same exact way as well. And yes I received a response stating that they would be forwarding my request to their programming department.

I figure if I just stay tuned to the channel, they'll know what I want.
