Prince's Spirit is everywhere, all around us.

Prince's passing (or ascension as I have heard it called - I like that term best) hit me hard. I hadn't followed him in years but he was a part of my youth. Like many, as I began to learn more about his life (I especially liked his friend Van Jones' message - boy did he do well by Prince), I began to realize that Prince was a very special human being who lived life to its fullest and was also, and most importantly, on a spiritual journey.

And then there was all this music I had missed. This amazing talented man was right on spot, in tune, on the beat, every time and this newer music was deep and rich. I started hearing the interesting beauty and perfection of his voice and was awed by his talent that I had forgotten or hadn't known about.

I also identified with parts of Prince's life I hadn't known about or had forgotten about too. The pain that he had overcome and the maturity and acceptance he had grown to achieving. The sensitivity. The longing for lots of love.

Several weeks after his departure from this physical earth I was sitting outdoors one day. Actually, I was in a screened-in porch and was semi-facing the ocean which was about 300 feet away and below me down a bluff. It was a lovely springtime day. Prince was in my thoughts probably all the time during those days and I would cry a lot, sometimes literally sobbing. This surprised me in a way, as I am a very reasonable person but I am also on a spiritual journey so I understand it somewhat. I was feeling kind of down on this particular day about his death and also had a lot going on personally...some stress and worry etc.

Suddenly, for some reason, I lifted and turned my face 10 or 20 degrees towards the water and just at that moment a warm breeze that I cannot describe gently swept across my face. It went from my left cheek to covering the rest of my face, neck, shoulders. There was something about or in this breeze that I have never felt before in my life. In it there was sweetness. Caring. Love. I have not been able to forget it and hope I never do.

Part of me feels it's too personal to share but the stronger, more truthful part of me wants to try to put into words for you this spiritual experience I had so you know his spirit is strong, alive, present and everywhere. He feels our love.

Beautiful. I was thinking the about the body of music Prince has released and created in his lifetime. At the moment I dont care for other music. Prince's music is all I need now and going forward in my life...in fact I think it will guide me very well. There will always be a song or album that will carry me forward, for every experience or emotion that may come my way. Prince is everywhere....past, present and future.

Thanks for sharing your story.
I too have been healing and feeling better about his passing. Listening to his own spiritual songs, and also some traditional spirituals, has helped.
Also saw imax films on the Hubble telescope and the intl space station, which also helped put things into perspective.
Then today, my son was watching Revenge of the Sith, and Yoda said this:

"Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealously. The shadow of greed, that is.”
"What must I do Master Yoda?"
"Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose."

So, it's time to let it go. Holding on does not bring him back.
