Apparently the family are in court tomorrow for the start of the serious business of sorting the estate out. You never know, will might get a little update afterwards.

Someone exploded at a meeting, and it wasn't Alfred Jackson. #TeamAlfred http://wgal.com/entertain...ce=dlvr.it

He had lawyers working for him and never did a will. Londell and the rest have a lot to answer for. This could take years. I would like to ask his great lawyer friends . Why were you soo bad.

I hope some massive company like Disney comes in and offers the family a big buy out, as bad as it sounds it worked for George Lucas. And then we might get some kind of professional workings going on with his music.

Also, according to Alfred Jackson's lawyer, the vault was not drilled and that is a rumor of the Vault being drilled:
http://www.cnn.com/2016/05/02/entertainment/prince-half-brother-interview/index.html
Also, Alfred Jackson was not invited to the memorial per the article.
I was hoping the family would put aside their differences to make the process go as smooth and quick as possible, but sounds like the nightmare is only beginning.
Maybe after a few meetings, things will settle down including the tension. Trying to be optimistic.
I also thought it was interesting that Alfred Jackson was able to tour Paisley Park, but it was supervised. That is nice to know that security is in place to minimize missing items. I wonder if the Trustee has imposed this.

I wonder if the Trustee has imposed this. I just heard him speak in one of those videos, on the page you linked to. He sounds like he has a speech impediment. Is that through a learning disability, or through a head injury? A battle wound obtained via military combat? In any case, he seems very genuine. I feel certain that he's genuine, after hearing him speak.

The CNN video posted today says the vault still hasnt been opened. I'm confused. Are they just days late posting videos?

the vault being drilled open just seems so darn greedy! I kind of wish Prince had left it where the vault was totally emtpy. So the greedy people could have a Geraldo Rivera with the Al Capone vault moment! ~The Poster Formerly Known As ParadiseKiss03~

Certain trusted PP employees would have Been able to let the family / authorities into the vault.

This is actually AMAZING NEWS... Susan Rogers and Alan Leeds have actually already made contact with Wendy, Lisa, Sheila and Tyka. They were all in the same room, the Sunday when Wendy & Lisa flew-out to Minneapolis. http://www.prosoundnetwor...leid=46040

THANK. GOD. Finally, some good news. I was about to post a comment about why the Vault had been drilled and on whose authority. I would love to see L. Lonedell McMillan involved also.

Is there any security there at the moment or are people just wandering in and out willy-nilly? It would be terribly sad if things started to go missing, and then turned up on eBay, etc.

Prince wanted his music in the vault released, Prince was restricted by Warner in the '80s and '90s, Prince released some songs from the vault on Chaos & Disorder, The Vault, Crystal Ball, etc. and planned to release more and more of it eventually. Prince explained in Rolling Stone magazine in 1985: Prince said in Vibe magazine in 1994: Prince explained in Rolling Stone magazine in 1996: Prince explained in Forbes in 1996: Prince explained in St. Paul Pioneer Press in 1996: Prince said in Guitar World magazine in 1998: In 1998 Prince revealed news about a planned release of a Prince and the Revolution album titled Roadhouse Garden, in a nonchalant posting to his first official website Love 4 One Another. “Prince and the Revolution R releasing a new album on NPG [Records],” the Prince notice read. “Songs include things left unfinished when the band broke up in the ’80s..." Prince also mentioned an invitation to Wendy and Lisa to help produce Roadhouse Garden, but Wendy and Lisa were still on unfriendly terms with Prince and so the Roadhouse Garden wasn't released. In 1998 Prince also canceled several tour dates due to an injured ankle after jumping off the piano and landing on equipment, dates canceled included in his announcement-post an open call for members of the Revolution to accompany him on upcoming tours with the 1998 NPG band. “He’s got a vault full of wonderful old material,” Alan Leeds said, “and any classic-era Prince material is interesting to hear. Roadhouse Garden, the proposed title track of the album, is just one of scores of tracks that never made it out." http://www.mtv.com/news/502249/ex-prince-calls-the-revolution-to-his-court-for-new-lp/ Prince explained in Paper magazine in 1999: Prince had plans to eventually release a Crystal Ball 2 as well, etc. In the 1999 MTV News interview Kurt Loder asked Prince, "If we went into your vault, I bet they are substantial, what would we find in there?" Prince said, "Some amazing jazz work [hinting at the work with Miles Davis]. You'd find the best, most heady tracks that the Revolution recorded, the ones that we thought were too far gone back in the '80s. You'd find the more psychedelic-rock version of The Time. You'd find the really erotic Prince, the really erotic central Prince. You'd find the future." Kurt Loder asked, "What's gonna happen to all of this stuff? I mean I'm glad it's all in a vault and not out deteriorating, but will it ever come out?" Prince said, "Oh yes, I'll give it away. I'm not going anywhere. I'll be right here." https://www.youtube.com/w...oiPLSodoug Prince explained on the View in 2012, ""One day, someone will release them. I don't know that I'll get to release them. There's just so many." Prince explained in the 2014 Rolling Stone interview, "I've never said this before, but I didn't always give the record companies the best song. There are songs in the vault that no one's ever heard. There are several vaults; it's not just one vault. I like time capsule stuff. I have a couple Revolution albums in the vault and two Time albums, one Vanity 6 album … and tons of stuff recorded in different periods. But so much gets recorded that you don't have time to compile everything. In the future you could put all the best stuff from one particular time period together and then you can release it. It'd just be like if we found a Sly and the Family Stone album and they saved their best stuff. If that's even possible!" http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/princes-lost-rolling-stone-interview-i-dont-think-about-gone-20160422 So just because those songs that are still in the vault were not released yet doesn't mean he didn't want them to be released eventually. Even with the Black Album in 1987 which he decided he didn't want it released and then in 1994 he decided to let it be released. Why deny the public all of that Prince music including the songs that only have been sold through bootleg? Prince wanted the public to have it all eventually, it's just that he was always so creative he kept making more and more new songs and he could only fit a limited amount of songs on each years Prince album, so a LOT of songs were kept unreleased, and some of it he said he thought the public wasn't ready for yet, but should definitely be released, albums and films like...

The fences are closed (and locked I presume), and there appears to be a person monitoring 24/7 to approve who enters and exits. Not sure about monitors once you enter the complex though. time flies.

I assume they changed the locks on the vault.... ie not opening it but securing it so that the bank folks are in control until this mess is cleared up

Eye believe the purple one was to complicated to just leave one person to it. Such as Shelia E and Andre Cymone, Susan, Terry and Jimmy producing the tracks. Since a good portion of them are unfinished songs Eye ppl call Prince a modern Mozart or Purple hendrix Prince is The one and only Prince that universe galaxy or whatever u want 2 call it will ever know
