for the past - the lost of my dearest friend, i knew him in my life even longer than i did my father

for the present - the energy that prince could lay in his performances (he still does, but it has changed)

for the future - i am wondering how he would react on things, how he looked @ the world, putting all this in his new songs ... such a lost !

but his answer would maybe sound like this :

it s time to do it yourself, go out and create, love and enjoy this strange and funny game on earth, leaving a path behind like he did himself ...,

yes i think im gaining a new appreciation from his last 3 albums hit n run and art .. i think they are a testament to the fact that his writing and music was still crisp at the time of his death for right now this is what we have... it still guts me that he is gone.. but unfortunatly thats the reality right now

First day since our hero passed away that I post something here. I have been so upset and sad that I haven't been able to. My heart and thoughts since April 21st. have been with all his family and you my friends.... I feel your pain all my dear friends. Prince's songs are like his children and he will live forever through his music. I am so thankful for being a Prince fan. Prince was a true pioneer that had the courage to travel his own paths and he had such passion for music and serving us incredible music and entertainment, both recordings and live performances. He will forever be my hero. May dear Prince rest in peace.

Watched it late last night and really enjoyed it. Ended up listening to and watching Prince stuff for about eight hours, almost stayed up all night. If felt good for the first time. Still really sad, but a lot of my favorite jams still felt good.

Can someone PLEASE tell me how to download videos from facebook and youtube safely onto a mac?? I've been trying to figure it out, but I'm nervous to download software first. If anyone can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it! So many incredible videos have already disapeared, and I'd love to save some while I can.

sure you don't need software just use http://www.onlinevideoconverter.com, plug n the url from youtube and select the format you want. I usually choose MP4

I can't listen yet because his entire career brought me nothing but JOY, & now it just brings pain. It's still too fresh, I really hope I can get back to enjoying it again someday (I might go a little nuts if I can't). I skip whenever the iPod tries to play it, I've removed him from my workout playlists b/c I can't be breaking down in the gym. I did manage to listen to 17 Days on Sunday, & I thought I was ready to hear "Way Back Home" but that tore me up. Even just singing his songs breaks me, & Nothing Compares has been in my head for days. It's just too painful right now, such a massive loss for so many, & yet it feels sooooooo personal to every one of us. He's been my soundtrack forever, I'm just trying not to think about it b/c I don't want to cry every day

It's been nearly 3 weeks and here I am, a grown-ass man in my mid 40s, but, at least once a day I read something, or hear something and break down in tears. I can't understand why I can't get up over this. How can I expect anyone around me to understand why it's affecting me so much if I can't understand it myself? Thank God for the org...

For us true fans, who understood what this cat was striving to do in music, and for the joy he gave us... well, no one else can do it. There isn't even ANYONE close to his caliber in the music world today. No one else can do it, and we will never see another one in our life time, chances are.

I believe I'm firmly in the "denial" stage. As I listened to Clouds the other night, the thought popped in my mind "what if he didn't die, but staged this so he could go into suspended animation for 45 years? What if he was telling us his plan a couple years ago with this track?". That was when I realized I had officially lost it! Someone measure me for a straightjacket!

Now, you know better than that. Heartbroken MJ fans said the same thing seven years ago, and Elvis fans decades before that. Unlike MJ, Prince had no reason to stage anything.
