Weirdly I think Prince seems to be asking the same question. He seems to be in a far reflective mood. The Piano and Mic tour and now the memoir. You could argue it's age but Prince has always acted as though he doesn't know what age is.

. He did not do a no-hits tour recently. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Maybe he has become more in tune with his own mortality...it has, or will happen, to all of us...tis is a man that saw his son and both parents pass away within a relatively short time frame...hes also witnessed the passing of several of his peers and former competitors...cant blame him for taking a long look back

Actually, I think Prince could tear the roof off a musical. The second time I listened to "Black Muse" it sounded nearly like it belonged in the 1975's Broadway production of The Wiz, but with a more updated sound. It could totally work tied into a story arc. P. has such a stunning range of styles he can write he could really write a heck of a soundtrack for a musical. He tends to want to cover all ground himself, but I think if he brought in the right kinds of creative people to support him with writing story & dialog, etc., leaving him to focus primarily on the music, he could potentially conquer Broadway all these years after conquering radio. Like the Piano and Microphone tour turning heads and putting him back into the public consciousness, a musical could be a daring but effective next step in the career of the most talented and unpredictable man in music. . P. gave a shout-out to Hamilton the musical on Twitter recently. (Probably due mostly to ?uestlove having some involvement as a producer or something). I'd never heard of it, but I looked it up on Amazon to get a feel for the music and it was incredibly good. I'm not usually into musicals but I was HOOKED. It has dynamic music and a blending of styles spanning decades--Prince could TOTALLY do that. Shoot. Prince could leave a mark on Broadway if he really wanted to. . Oddly, after I watched the Apollonia 6 short musical film on YouTube a few years ago, I came away thinking there was a seed of an idea there that could be made into a musical. Something about female empowerment in the 80s, using mostly A6 songs, but also using songs he wrote for V6, Sheila and Jill. I'm just sayin'. Could be dope. He could get ?uestlove to produce it. It would be Prince's way of making things right after replacing homeboy with a Pixar fish . Seriously though, it could get a whole new generation of people into his music. . Sorry, I went off on a major tangent there, didn't I? .

A country album. Didn't he mention something about wanting to make a Country music album sometime back in the 90s? He wrote at least one song for Kenny Rogers in the late 80s I think it was; "Indifference" has some Country twang in it. (He also has that funny redneck song on one of the Ahdio shows LOL.) I'd love to hear what kind of harmonies he'd put down on some Southern brand of heartbreak.

He has perfected the live performace aspect of his career. For mind, I've always wanted to see more live releases of his tours in DVD format. He's the greatest live entertainer, with spectacualar shows, so why not have these released for all to enjoy as a document of his talents on film? [Edited 2/11/20 0:26am] [Edited 7/11/20 22:20pm]

I'd like to hear him do a blues EP. I know there's "The Ride" and "Zannalee, but a blues style record with some horns and Wurlitzer/Hammond organ on some songs...and some guitar based stuff too.
