If Billy already had three bands, and didn't need fo', why wouldn't he give the Modernaire's the axe?

I mean, they only had one song . . . . and Dez had quit the Revolution and all . . . .

well we only saw particular nights.
For all we know, Sheila E had a night on Amateur night

and the Modernaires performed other nights (of course) but we just saw that 1 performance.

But the reason for the Revolution possibly getting the AX was the trouble the Kid was having, not coming to meetings, possibly the band breaking up because of the Kids issues etc

because it was about his attitude ....and he wasnt packen em in like he used to ...

AND Apollonia 6 Never did play 1st Ave... they were at "The Taste".. It's confusing, but you buy into it watching the movie and not really paying That close attention to the dialog..

The whole "one song and we're out" thing was unsustainable across the board anyway. He should have just sacked them all!

As discussed Billy needed to tell that to The Modernaires who had one song, and one band name. At least Prince had lots of songs and they were all different too just like his old man Francis L. What a waste buddy, but like father like son, hey lay off that. The difference between him and the Kid was he didn't write them down, he didn't have to. Francis L was also a part time relationship counciller. Do you have a girlfriend? Never get married. I have a feeling the Modernaires concert would just be one song repeated ten times, with an extended version as an encore. Wait? They were the Modernaires and the sang about wanting to be a Modernaire? I think a Modernaire is like a punk funk version of a new romantic.

I love the fact he wasn't packen em in anymore. It's the best and most ridiculous storyline ever. How did they ever think that would look right? If someone was playing like that, I think packen em in might not be an issue. Just a hunch.
