I think Atlanta Bliss retired after Lovesexy

I don't think Levi Seacer jr would work with Prince again...

If anything I would love a mixed band like on the Baby I'm a Star performances
the Revolution Sheila E & Juan E Eddie M (add Dez) Eric Leads (I would love Atlanta Bliss back his sounds brought Bliss to purple music) Jerome Cat
would be cool to have some live stringed instruments Novi Novog and Suzi Katayama

I agree that a mixed band of1982-88 musicians that worked with Prince would be ideal.

great idea!!

^Yeah... If you could get Prince to do it... Like Militant said, he'd probably do it if the pay check were big enough, but let's be serious... If Prince can sell out a 10,000 seat arena playing Kiss, Purple Rain, 1999 etc. , how many extra tickets is he going to sell if he adds Wendy, Lisa, Sheila, dr. Fink et al to the list? Answer: not many. How many people saw the Purple Rain movie, loved it, bought the album, saw the tour and don't have a clue who Brownmark is? Answer: a lot. It's not going to happen. It's not going to lead to better music. Purple Rain with Wendy on guitar or with Donna on guitar, what difference does it make?

It would definately generate more money because I believe there would be just from the Prince followers a hightened excitement. It would definately be different. Reunite also with the Time, FDeluxe and release some music (including Roadhouse Garden) I don't think people realized how strong a cult following Prince has. I think they just assume it's a handfull of us on the Org or scattered on line digging up bootlegs.

Prince would be bored out of his skull doing a tour featuring Revolution Era hits. Lets face it.

I'm not even sure the brand name "The Revolution" would be an exciting draw for the average concert goer in 2016. It doesn't entice people quite like "The E Street Band" on a ticket.

It was too long ago, and too few albums to warrant especially warm and fuzzy feelings.

The only way it might interest Prince is if He and The Revolution redid the "Roadhouse Garden" album and toured with it. But he would never share songwriting and credit on the level of 84-86 again. Too much ego and too much success after The Revolution.

Plus it would involve warm and fuzzy meloncholy, fondness and friendship Prince simply doesn't display.

Should they reform? Only if the year 1984 comes back.

It's a cool idea because it is something that Prince has never done before.Like a few of you have pointed out,I think it would happen if Prince was offered an astronomical amount of money to do it.Abba was offered a billion dollars to reunite and they turned it down.Somehow,I don't Prince would walk away from an offer like that smile

Dont need a Revolution reunion...just need Prince, Wendy and Lisa to get in the studio together and make magic. It will only work if Prince checks his ego (and control issues) at the door. In other words, AINT GONNA HAPPEN sad

Make it so, Number One...

Prince seems to be so down on his luck lately.... The real question is... Can Prince even AFFORD a band?? Like ANY Band? Let alone The Rev, but like Kirk and the Mop-Buckets?

I'm pretty sure Prince is going to screw up 2016 just like he did 2014, but yes, Revolution or die.

No, I think it is not alwasy good to go back - but better to look forward with new things. It is like when they try to remake a movie - doesnt always work for the best.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

we shouldn't do this.
None of us are fully aware of what Prince may do for his looks. We've seen plenty of photos where he looks aged.
Looks have nothing to do with them performing together. They have a friendship that makes the difference.

Yes. If only because almost nothing P does these days holds any tension or excitement (the intimacy of the piano and mic tour notwithstanding).

Not always, but it is a natural part of the human experience. Our time on earth is short, so looking forward isn't something that we can do 100%.
But also remember these people are still in Prince's life. So how could it be looking back by performing with people that are present...

Not to mention one of the wonderful things about this current Prince/Piano tour is he is doing a lot of looking back and sharing a lot of tidbits and stories about then.

Should Prince & The Revolution reform and tour/do an album again? My opinion YES! I think they were best band Prince ever had, not that his other line ups aren't good - I think the chemistry between members and on a musical level was the best, and live they had the best sound.

Will it ever happen? Different story of course but if Prince said yes or gave the go ahead then I'm sure it would. MTV Bands Reunited etc has brought together bands that had big bust ups and arguments, so even if any members or Prince with them had issues, everything could be worked out or forgotten ('lets just do this, we may never get another chance). It would also likely generate a lot of publicity & sales.

I don't know about that but whether it's true or not maybe the reason why it precisely can't happen is too much personal history, too much emotional background, too many egos.

Think again.

And yeah beatdeadhorse
