Love it, a real labour of love. I'm very glad to see 'I Hate U' so high up the list, a song I just adore but not always a fan favourite. Might just take you up on a few suggestions in this list. Thanks

I always find it fascinating how different every Prince fans favorite songs are. My top 100 is way different and I think over half of yours doesn't even make mine. It doesn't mean that anyones is right or wrong its just always so interesting to see what others get out of Prince's music. I applaud your effort in doing this list.

Thank you for giving it a read. Well I'm at least relieved that it may not be a predictable list (although I feel a few of the higher up ones might be). Thanks again. Would love to hear about anything super obvious that you would have included.

it sure is. I scanned for some of my favorites to see where it put them and and they aren't in the list. Computer Blue, 7, the vastly underrated Batdance, Adore, Erotic City and more. Of course I tell people that I have about 100 top 10 faviorit prince songs and about 1000 top 100 favorites.

Sorry mate , I may have missed them on the list, but no room for Kiss, Little red corvette or 1999?

Already not liking it. I imagine these to be vastly different for every fan.

Yes, very interesting how this shows that Prince has a range of different fans. Some liking songs that others hate and vice versa.

I personally missed more songs from Around the world and Parade. And especially Lovesexy.

Yeah I did anticipate a backlash about those. I don't why but they just don't do anything for me although I appreciate they're his defining songs and biggest hits.

I may do one one day, my Prince files have a ll the album tracks rated 1 to 10 and there are 79 songs rated a 10, so I take those and my 21 favourite unreleased/bootleg songs and voila, putting them in order, now thats a different story.

Your list is interestig though, glad to see I hate u rates so high, surprised Pretty Man does too and Wasted Kisses, very forgettable songs in my opinion. Generally your choices are interesting, but you miss a few songs I would expect to be there like Adore and Last Heart. It is good you have included some recent tracks though!

Don't you like Wated Kisses for me it's a great song.

It's alright, but it is nothing special, I think it gets a high rating, because it comes at the end of a really crappy album, that is so bad, that anything on it can sound better than it is. Put Wasted Kisses on the Gold Experience or even the Truth and it sounds very average.

Currently working on my list.

Another one I would have on my list is the absolutely brilliant Pink Cashmere. This song was a sleeper for me, I didn't really notice it is until I heard it watching Girl 6 when it came out. At the time I don't think I even realized I owned it.

It's true it's fascinating, i really dislike "guitar" for instance while i really miss the whole undertaker video classics like ''the undertaker''. But then i am triggered that you rate ''somebody's somebody'' so high, i always overlooked that song but have start to think of it as a Prince highlight too...

I think I had like 8 songs or so from SOTT so really had to draw a line somewhere I thought. A few people have said that about Pretty Man but what can I say... I love it!

When you say 'Last Heart', do you mean from Crystal Ball? It's on the list.

'Somebody's Somebody' has always been a favourite of mine. Emancipation definitely has some gems. Glad the list may have made you reconsider the song

Just played United States of Division i love it , i really forget about it on the Cinnamon Girl CD. That is now in my top 100. Don't think i have seen anybody even mention that song on the org before maybe it's just me who loves it.

My own Top 100 is more af a favourite 100 at the moment, so doesn't include some of the big ones like LRC, Purple Rain or 1999. As highly as I rate them I have listened to them extensively.

I've got 'Somebody's Somebady' on mine, (as well as 'Soul Sanctuary' and 'Friend, Lover ...' from Emancipation). I've got some boots on mine too, I've got some from MPLSound, and it isn't ranked in ordrer either.

I tried to use it as a basis for getting a top 10, couldn't get below 20

A unique taste indeed. I think that 75% of the songs wouldn't be on mine. But I do appreciate the love and work that went into this project.

Making a top 100 seems so definitive, btw. A lot of things, including the vibe one gets from a song changes constantly.
