Amid discussion of all of P's bad decisions, we gotta remember that doing that set was a very, very good one.

There's a behind-the-scenes video I saw on Facebook. The guy that produced the halftime show woke up and saw it was raining. He called Prince and said, "It's raining". Prince said, "I know. Can you make it rain harder?"



Everyone interviewed that worked on that show said Prince was the ultimate professional and a total badass.

if i wasn't a fan, this was still definately the best halftime show.

the sillowette(sp?) was, well, you know...

and Prince performing in the Dolpins' colors was pure class, although they weren't in the game at their home stadium.

The only nachgemachte gimmick was the lightning at the start.

if he had not played the PR solo with that nasty whammy bar, it would've been...

At dress rehearsal there was no lightning. Prince actually rose up surrounded by flames.

Due to the rain you got smoke instead of fire though.

Prince was so gracious, patient and professional while so much hubub was going on. He pretty much blew everybody away. The dress rehearsals were every bit as awesome as what you guys saw on TV. I liked it better because it was just us and Prince....no rain.

I'm glad that the whole world got to see what a performer he is. We've known that all along, but I think even us die-hards were taken by surprise with what he pulled off.
