Correct.

Except he could be gentler to the ones who evangelized his art for decades.

  • And do not get me started on TRH. I still imagine/KNOW somewhere there is SOMETHING close enough, and no one will ever tell me because I miss some coded language or no one has my email since I changed from theastarr@gmail.com (send them hatemail, it was my first gmail and it was hacked, when you still needed an invite for gmail. So I'm starrfighter now, and I'll bet the only people that can hack THAT password is on this board).

There is nothing as good as TRH. Man, I spent all day in that place. Good times.

Also, you know Idina? That's awesome.

I just wanted to agree with myself and you. That IS awesome. TRH is awesome. I want some awesome up in here, cuz that's what it's about.

Forgive me but have you proof-read what you posted? The absurdity is that it's all over the place to the point where I'm quite sure that what you meant is lost in there somewhere.

If anybody has a clue what you meant I hope they will translate for the rest of us....I'm not trying to be funny either.

Yup. Even more senseless than the Ebony interview, and that says a lot.

Were you drunk? On drugs?

Your last sentence brought to mind the song: "Now" blunt lol

I don't like the term "fams", and while I know Prince is the one who started using it to talk about his fans because supposedly he doesn't like the term "fanatics", you're one of the few that use it with a straight face (presumably). Those that use it to denigrate take advantage of the fact it sounds like "femz" (or "effeminate"). For them, it became a sly way to not-so-subtly insult those that still like his new music by implying they are girly "sissies".

I realize that is not how you use the term but it was ridiculous to begin with and can be use to ridicule. Plus the initial notion that fans are "family" is at odd with his lack of accessibility as a ultra-guarded performer.

To me the term Fams has nothing to do with your femz/sissies interpretation. Rather it fits anyone who thinks that Prince can do no wrong, should never be criticized and every release is a masterpiece. So, yeah, I would use it to denigrate, but not in the way you think. Just sayin'... wink

I really like this post, and will not bust on it just because it's not grammatically perfect or linear. We're Prince fans here, no? Shouldn't we be tolerant of creative license with spelling and forays down rabbit holes?

Fans v Fams was only a device to distringuish two types of people (and the times these people were and/or are in) like apples and oranges. There is nothing more to read into than making an easy prince friendly differential.

It says right there that no proofreading occured so let me know if there is a crazy typo so its fixed if it is truly impossible to derive a word or phrase. Part of that is atually saying where or else IDK. And perfume, wink
