I've always been a huge fan of this track, which some of my friends find humorous, since I'm an atheist and all. It's just so damn joyful, and funky as fuck. I just heard the live version (mixed with Rave and I Wish U Heaven) that is referenced above. Maaaaan that's fucking gorgeous.

Very cool classic song, has not had a decent exposure...

It's like "Thieves In The Temple", I prefer the unplugged version.
He did a nice one performance of "God Is Alive" on the first parisian concerts of the Lovesexy Tour. Just a simple Linn pattern, guitar and voice. Way better.

The studio version, to me that's just bad programming.
But he was trying sequencers instead of the Linn, so no surprise here.

The "dog in heat" line is stupid and gratuitous. Not even funny. Or ha ha funny, maybe.
