Get Loose sampling 3' Chains O' Gold? Maybe I'm just trippin' but I am strongly under the impression the choirs from Get Loose are in fact sampled straight from 3 Chains O' Gold. I've checked on Pvault and they don't mention 3COG being quoted in GL. Opinions? A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Good catch, databank. I never put two and two together but it seems highly plausible.

Well if I'm correct it only took me 18 years to figure it out A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Just listened to it - I think you're right. . Its amazing how you can spot things with his music years later. I only just realised last week on The My Name Is Prince maxi single, track 1 (Original Mix Edit) is longer than the album version and has some additional guitar. . I played the album to death back then and the remixes of MNIP on the maxi-single but must have always skipped the first track thinking it was the same as album version. Only took me 24 years!

I, too, didn't listen to that version straight away, but when I did - wow! Now, here's the thing - it's called Original Mix Edit. Is there an even longer version of it that we haven't heard yet?
