Personally I feel this could've been good, great beat, but that constant screaming... I doubt he'll ever play this live. lol

i like it smile it's different. it's so loud and almost obnoxious, yet still cool lol

it's like "my name is prince" on some seriously dodgy steroids smile

also, it doesn't overstay it's welcome and there's that cool bass at the end.

and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

he/they mentioned a remix of the song on twitter. someone asked them about the extra

lyrics in the cd booklet that weren't on the song and they said they were on the remix of
it. so i'm hoping it'll show up as purple pick of the week one of these days. perhaps with

a remix treatment the vocals will be a little less screamy smile

Fine tune indeed nod. Y'all no how we do! This the old school! = Best line of his career tease. Hopefully the remix extended take is on the horizon. Just not on a new album as it were innocent.

I don't really like Shut this down but the bass at the end is awesome if it lasted longer then it could have been a really good track. I also like Prince's vocals.

He/she wants this topic locked. Sadly, many orgers have empty and sad lives and have nothing better to do then police a thread. We already have weasels(mods) doing a fine job with policing. btw, The screaming is a nice touch.

He did play it at the after party for Madonna at Paisley Park.

Couldn't agree less. My Name is Prince is the Mona Lisa compared to Shut This Down. I am a Prince fan and appreciate a lot of his recent output, but this song is trying too hard to be something it's not. It's bad. And I'm being kind.
