Prince Cover Songs: Amazing!

Anybody ever check out the Songs Prince has covered throughout his career, besides his own mega volume of songs! Astonishing! eek cool lol

I have no idea why Prince still pretends he's against covers.

In fact, if Prince were to do a "covers-only" show, it would be phenomenal.

Perhaps there's an idea there, if he cares.

One thing about wanting to be innovative : you have to innovate the very way you think.

I'd be first in line for a show with his best covers -- with zero Prince songs.

That would be the whole point -- that he's compelling whether he plays his own songs or not.

The cover performance of 'A Kiss From A Rose' in Sydney, 2012, was sung by Seal, and didn't involve Prince; mostly a slow bluesy backing, with Seal singing lyrics from 'The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker', and a faint smattering of 'A Kiss From A Rose'.

The Funkadelic medley performance was led by George Clinton who guested on the 3 August 1988 show.
